Not really up on Japanese promotions, but is this the equivalent of WWE announcing WrestleMania will be three nights and the last one is WWE vs. AEW/Impact?

Most of the card will probably be multi-man tags

Wrestle Kingdom's always a blast and all but the, "Title match then the champion defends the belt the next night," thing for all the main events has already gotten very old. It makes the nights feel very lopsided.

Stardom match details should be announced at their double press conference today.

For the Stardom match, they had representatives from each unit (STARS--Mayu Iwatani, Queen's Quest--Saya Kamitani (originally Utami but Saya begged her to let her do it), Oedotai--Starlight Kid, and Donna del Mondo--Syuri) come out and draw straws to set up a tag match. Syuri drew a blank straw so Donna del Mondo was eliminated from appearing in the match. The draw results ended with:
Mayu Iwatani and Starlight Kid vs. Saya Kamitani and Tam Nakano, so that's the match. This forces some rivals and recent opponents to team together (The match reunites Mayu and Kid as MK Sisters despite betrayal/rivalry, and Tam and Saya will have just had their match for the White Belt at Queendom on the 29th) so that and the lack of DDM made me think it might have actually been random, but most likely set up.

If Shibata returns, I think he does on Night 2 against KENTA, and then has a match on Night 3 with a NOAH talent. Kenoh would be a good choice.

Questions, might as well ask them here.
1. If NJPW and Stardom are under the same umbrella why two different streaming services? 2. Why is Stardom and Aew still a forbidden door when NJPW and aew are working together. 3. Will the Noah night be on wrestle universe and stardom stuff on their service? 4. Not a question but if they have 3 nights they better find room for Suzuki and Ishii this time around.

Not a question but if they have 3 nights they better find room for Suzuki and Ishii this time around. 1 and 2 can be answered with Stardom having been bought by NJPW a few years back after WWE's offer was rejected, and they likely already had existing commitments for streaming, and just that Stardom really doesn't seem to be keen on the same kind of crossing over. NJPW initially wasn't, either, before caving. AwamoriRock will probably know more about it than I would, I just know joshi promotions can have very complicated politics.

Not a question but if they have 3 nights they better find room for Suzuki and Ishii this time around. 1- TV contracts. Prior to being acquired by Bushiroad (not NJPW), Stardom already had a TV contract with NTV. NJPW has a contract with TV Asahi (who also own part of the company). Both stations also do both promotions streaming services and there's very little each would gain, in their eyes, by partnering up to join them into one.; 2- AEW's partnership seems to be with NJPW in specific, not with Bushiroad, so Stardom is not included in the negotiations so far. 3- All we know about night 3 is that it will in the ABEMA PPV service, nothing else so far. As for the Stardom match, it depends on how they do it this time around. For the past WKs, it wasn't available in any service (again, TV stations are different) but the matches they had on WRESTLE GRAND SLAM were on NJPW World, so hopefully they can find some such accomodation again. 4- If I were a betting man, Ishii will defend the NEVER Openweight title against someone. Suzuki might have something at least on night 3, given his history with NOAH, but it's likely that he'll also enter either a returning RAMBO~! or some NEVER 6-Man Tag Gauntlet (or both!)

Not a question but if they have 3 nights they better find room for Suzuki and Ishii this time around. Edit: Fundertaker handled it lol 1. They both had/have different TV rights deals and streaming services when Bushiroad acquired them and are tied up to honor those. 2. This is similar to 1, but it's because simply because Bushiroad owns the two, it doesn't make them uniform. They both exist and act autonomously as separate companies with the same ownership and backing. Of course, if Bushiroad tells them to jump they jump, but for the most part NJPW and Stardom stated pretty much when the purchase happened that their goals are to cross promote and get fans of each other who don't watch the other to go to shows or sign up for the other respective service. That's why the extent of it has been offer matches from Stardom that are intended for the live crowd mainly (with the exception of last year) and NJPW training at Stardom's dojo and cross promotion with them handing out fliers and showing videos before each show. So for the forbidden door aspect, NJPW's decision to work with Stardom doesn't really impact them unless Bushiroad was to say do it. Rossy, the head of Stardom, answered a question like this on a live stream with Emi Sakura and said he had no relationship with AEW and isn't really interested in it. There could be a few reasons for that there--Stardom kinda marches to the beat of their own drum and keeps pretty insular with a few exceptions (this is changing a little). Stardom doesn't really want to use talent that is full time overseas (which is why they let Riho go, and were rumoredly frustrated that even though she was a midcard champ for them, they couldn't feature her in big stories or have her eat pins). There was also a rumor The Elite tried to coax Mayu into joining them and this was a big no no for Stardom, and it certainly would be, but I've only seen it from one source. They said they eventually want to do an independent US tour though, and if NJPW and AEW keep getting closer I'm sure the topic would be more addressed, I just don't see them doing it in the near future. 3. The NOAH night will be a PPV, but available on both Wrestle Universe and NJPW World a week later was my understanding. 4. I'd like that, I have a suspicion Suzuki kinda likes free roaming but I hope he is at least on night 3
