I'm really happy he put what he did at #1 for the best.
To me it's still the best PPV of the modern era, and absolute peak AEW.
Full Gear was nice b/c of Hangman's win, but the show prior was just THE show, and I'm glad BZ sees it the same way.

Worst List
8. They could have hidden it a hell of a lot better but lots of people complaining about Jericho being shoved off the cage were also complaining about Sammy being thrown through the table the following year.
7. Agreed on Tony's twitter. The funny thing is that he told Meltzer that he doesn't have to respond to every little post from bad faith people while being absolutely insane.
6. Eh, I'm fine with the stables.
5. Tony thought that he could get the Black & Gold viewers to tune in by scooping up talent when a lot of people just liked NXT because it was somewhere in WWE where matches mattered. Personally feel he could cut a substantial amount of them and nothing would be lost.
4. Codyverse was basically what happens when you give Cody creative control over his direction. What an absolute mess of a run, you could cut his segments entirely and it wouldn't change the show.
3. Won't hear any arguments from me. I feel that the complaints are being overplayed because the prominent people making complaints are looking at it as "1 segment, this long" as opposed to any actual quality while ignoring any given Smackdown that has less time on the women.
2. I feel the biggest problem is that the pyro wasn't on the hard came side and there wasn't enough for the open air in Daly's Place. Just technical problems that ruined the finish of an excellent match
1. Won't hear any arguments here either.

Cool, it's an all timer. Observations I made rewatching it: The 10-tag team match (and its sequel next year) were great. Nearly nonstop action. Team Savage was a midcard dream team. And Macho Man teaming with Steamboat (and the latter teaming with Jake) still makes total sense, given what a pain in the ass HTM was. That match was good booking, with Honky getting comeuppance but characteristically running away to fight another day. Like watching an 80s animated series. Team Andre is an all-timer, especially for the gauntlet of hosses on top.

For some reason, even as kid, when I rented tapes, 87 to 89 seemed like 10,000 years passed. I still feel like that. I think Mania 3 is the turning point probably. It didn’t happen overnight but that show changed the direction in how guys were presented a lot.

That woman's Tag at SS 87 is a bit of a hidden gem.
The Glamor Girls and Jumping Bomb Angels were just ahead of everyone else.

So weird to see Bam Bam Bigelow as a babyface. The guy just looks like a natural heel.

80's WWF always takes me back, and reminds me of why I f***ing hated Hogan as a kid. Dude was such a little bitch.

Also for all of December, he's only doing Classic reviews which'll be fun. First being Starrcade 87 aka The one that was going against the WWF's first Survivor Series.

With Vee Infuso showing up for the Hogan Knows Best episode, I have a good feeling about the Hogan in TNA one next week. If I'm right I'm going to probably mark out.
