I didnt realize they were running two different house show events this weekend, one in Tampa and one in NY, I thought most of the shows at least in the current US format were mostly combined SD and Raw rosters?

The less people that have it, the better. Safest way to go. They seem to be advertising the absences which, honestly, is impressive for their history of not doing that so good for them.

Any time I’ve ever gone to a show and one of the headliners wasn’t appearing, they announced it at the top of the show and gave you an opportunity to get a refund.

It does look like they've been doing mostly supershows since they resumed touring, but I guess they decided to split the roster again for the holiday tour. Which, what timing.

HOW ARE THEY STILL DOING A SHOW IN NEW YORK TONIGHT?! The city where, not only is Omnicron raging, but Delta is having a huge resurgence, and they're doing it in a (beloved, but still...) petrie dish of an unventilated venue like Madison Square Garden, who don't require masks*, a week out from their big year-starting pay-per-view. From a human level to a business level this is just utterly baffling on every conceivable level. *For vaccinated adults, but they aren't including the booster as "fully vaccinated" so this could be really, really bad. This is just how the city is operating now. The strategy is to enforce the vaccine mandate everywhere and make testing as widely available as possible. And luckily hospitalizations haven't gotten out of hand so far. The Knicks sold out MSG yesterday and will continue to do so. The Nets sold out their next game in a few days. This is just how it is right now and I don't see it changing unless deaths rise significantly. Everyone I speak to hear sort of acknowledges that they'll probably get it even with the booster and will mask up and take precautions but will continue to live their life.

Tomorrow's RAW is going to be wild for all the wrong reasons. I wouldn't be shocked if we see a bunch of NXT talent flown into Detroit just to work RAW tomorrow.

Untill immunization and not vaccination is what is achieved by getting jabbed then it is just gonna be a bite the bullet situation for humanity to just live with it like the flu , the cold etc.

Honestly I think it’s possible for Seth to make Day One if they change the quarantine rules for the vaccinated to 5 Days instead of 10, which they should since this Omnicron variant is more of a flu, although it is more contagious

We don't even know what variant Seth has. Since I'm guessing his testing positive was relatively recent, if he's still testing positive, and he's still contagious, then no. He should stay at home and take care of himself instead of traveling for hours and risking who knows what all.

I mean if he is vaccinated, doesn’t feel symptoms after a few days and the cdc cuts the quarantine period for the vaccinated then I say by all means he might as well go, if he feels comfortable ofcourse

Seth also has a wife and baby daughter as well. So that must play into it I think.

Oh no Apparently Becky, Big E, and Bianca are also off of the live events tonight. Well... I am glad the talent don't give a shit and tell the world themselves. Remember when WWE gave Renee crap, which basically drove her out of the company. Just think, if they didn't give her crap, she would probably still be there today.

The NBA and NFL have had players test positive, take a couple more tests and be back in less than a week. Seth, Becky, Big E, and Bianca are all vaccinated. They all wrestled at Crown Jewel, and if I'm not mistaken were all on the UK tour. So they've been vaccinated.

I don't think they can realistically not run shows when they have a TV deal. ROH drastically cut down on a ton of networks their parent company owned and it still killed them No choice that ROH made had to do with the ending of ROH. They could have been running sold-out packed shows all pandemic and it still would have had the same result. Their parent company made some disastrous unrelated decisions that lost literal billions, so multiple properties they own are shutting doors/going on hiatus. Oh wow really? I had no idea. Do you know anywhere I could learn more about this?

Given that's both major RAW world title matches? Day One is screwed if they can't clear protocols in time. And TBH it already felt like a snakebit show given they needed Migos to sell tickets to it... and I don't even think that worked Hell, they've been doing a buy three get one free deal on tickets for it for months and they still have like two thirds of the building empty. I had heard reports that Day 1 was actually doing very well and sold 7,000 tickets.
