Thinking about I can kind of see how I would make it work - promos are always really groggy and half-asleep, then when she gets in the ring she's a rapid-fire killing machine but burns herself out quickly because she doesn't have a lot of energy so the longer something extends past a squash the more of an issue it becomes for her. Kind of someone who's very good but handicapped by just not having a lot in the tank. That said I have zero confidence they're going to do that and even if they did it feels like you'd still have to drop the sleeping part of it entirely if you wanted to make them any sort of genuine threat instead of just a random lower midcarder. Someone whose whole style of carrying themselves backstage is being very inattentive and lacking drive would be a nice change of pace for WWE though. That would be a smart and clever way to do it, absolutely a neat Chikara character, but of course WWE presents the problem that its match structure is so nailed down that the character has no legs for the main roster and this sort of thing would be cooked in the oven for little gain or purpose to it, because it won't mean anything or go anywhere from there. I don't know if they're just leaving wrestlers to their own devices on cooking up characters down there or if they've got people writing, but gimmicks like this feel underbaked and still like there's no actual thought for what could actually work on the main roster even though that was allegedly the point of the takeover. This is a character that either doesn't work like your first post said, or only works like this post says in a world that won't mix with the cut-and-paste match template and 'do as little as possible' approach they take to producting television with. This WAS a Chikara character

I thought I replied when this thread first started, but I intended to say that her appearance in the crowd was probably just a little joke and it wasn’t going to be her gimmick. Then it did turn out to be her gimmick…and it looked pretty bad. Then she had her match, and it looked pretty good!
What a ride.

Team N R G feels like they're paying homage to that team Owen Hart and Koko B. Ware had. High Energy was it?
