Before he turned face in 1991, did Virgil ever speak when he was the Million Dollar Man's bodyguard, or was he just a silent bodyguard?

He did speak in those early vignettes. He was the one who yelled at the kids to get out of the pool.

He did talk in the pool skit. Otherwise he just barked out (a badly aging) "Yes, sir!" to DiBiase's demands.
And now I am thinking...Virgil was like the total opposite of Bubba Rogers. Even Mr. Hughes or Meng (Bubba wannabes). In that he sold anything and wasn't considered a threat as he'd usually be put in matches by DiBiase and he'd usually lose.

This dude Virgil was thrown to the lions in every match. He got his bell rung so many times in his role as the consummate bodyguard, often twice on the same night.
What could he have possibly had to say, other than “Kick me”?

This dude Virgil was thrown to the lions in every match. He got his bell rung so many times in his role as the consummate bodyguard, often twice on the same night. What could he have possibly had to say, other than “Kick me”? Survivor Series 89, he comes out with his arm in a cast, gets laid out multiple times, Gorilla and Jesse are joking about him getting eliminated from a match he's not in. |
