Let's exclude pandemic era shows from this.
What's the best match you can remember in front of a tiny audience? I suppose a lot of this will be ROH and indie stuff but we have a lot of historians and old timers on here who can probably pull up some great fights at dismal draws in Japan or the territories so let's see what we can uncover

I saw one of Command Bolshoi's last matches at an EVE show. The crowd was a bit dead from a lot of stuff early in the card, but she was so incredible she made the place come unglued. Loudest I have heard 200 odd fans be.

Forget ROH, I imagine early Full Impact Pro would absolutely dominate a lot of picks. I didn't want to spend my money on one-match shows in front of twelve people back when they were new, but the roster had a lot of the major ROH guys at the height of their indy buzz doing Memphis stuff - with CM Punk's blog posts indicating that on some level, the workers themselves were just having a grand old time doing throwback stuff. Would love to hear if anyone here actually watched a lot of those.

Saw a really good match between El Hijo Del Santo and Blue Demon Jr. at Colchester Arts Center in 2004, part of a brief push to get lucha libre recognised by the arts in the UK around that time. Can't have been more than 60-100 people there, but fun match that involved some crowd dives and good technical wrestling.

I saw a steel cage match with Ron Simmons, Ricky Steamboat, & Dustin Rhodes vs. Rick Rude, Arn Anderson, & Bobby Eaton in an arena of 3,000 people, which is 1/4 full.

First match that came to mind was CM Punk vs Homicide from FIP Fallout night 2. If there were more than 50 people there I’d be surprised. Plus, there were less people in the strip club that they spilled into.

The Midnight Express vs the Midnight Express angle is something many wrestling fans think highly of. It also did ABYSMAL business, but a lot of that was WCW's dreadful business at that time when it came to ticket sales. On that note, there were probably some great TNA house show matches. No one would be likely to know. Smartass answer: some empty arena matches were pretty good.

A lot of mid 2000's germany was like this. The Shows where tiny but the networking was so good at that time, that dudes like Hero, El Generico or Bryan where just touring germany. The amount of crazy shit I have seen live and/or discovered on DVD's from that time is intense. Like Rocky Romero vs Tommy End (Alister Black) inside a club in Soest (~90 paid if that), is seared into my brain. Shit like that happened all the time. ^^ EDIT: Also Deathmatches in Germany around this time. Like: www.cagematch.net/en/?id=1&nr=10374 <---This should not be a thing.

A lot of NXT's greatest matches happened at Full Sail in front of a few hundred people.

I'd like to point out what Heenan said about poor houses, not a direct quote, but the spirit is there. "It's not the fans fault there's only 50 people there. It's the promotions. Go out and entertain them"

Big Boss Man vs. The Convict (Nailz) at Saint Finbars Catholic Church school gym. Both recently out of WWF, they beat the hell out of each other. Then Nailz got ahold of the nightstick and whacked Boss Man on his shin. Kevin Von Erich was on this show too.

The classic Bret Hart vs. 123 Kid match was only in front of 1,600 fans.

One that is always strange to me was Eddie Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio (unmasked) vs. CM Punk in IWA Mid South 3/1/02 in Indianapolis, IN...Punk vs. Eddie singles was a few days later I believe. Just insane to think about.
