How eager were the kids to help taking the decorations off the tree compared to how eager they were to help decorate it?

I can't speak for children but I can speak for adults in working environment:
"Who wants to put up a tree and decorations?" Unlimited help near instantly.
"Who wants to help me take all this stuff down for the season?" *crickets*

Enthusiasm was at an all time low this year.
As far as putting them up…The girl (19) hid in her room and claimed she was doing schoolwork. The boys (17) gave the bare minimum of assistance. One grudgingly let me hand him down boxes from the attic and then vanished. The other I had plug in all the lights and let me know what worked…and then he went for a bike ride. The wife got them all to put about thirty ornaments on the tree and that was about it.
Taking them down has been 100% me.
And tomorrow I get to go back to work and take down all the decorations I put up there as well.
