I have a feeling Brock Vs Bobby will disappoint Brock's matches with bigger guys can be really hit or miss for some reason.

Booker T saying on his radio show that an AEW wrestler like Chris Jericho would be booed out of the building at the Royal Rumble. Booker is a very dumb man. I like the dude but I'm searching my memory for an instance where he vaguely sounded like he had even a surface understanding of pro wrestling. That's... probably not the dumbest wrestling-related thing I'll read this year but it's a pretty good early frontrunner.

I will be shocked if any of the surprise entrants are from AEW. Shawn Spears at #10 for lulz...

It's apparently from the PWInsider audio update and I personally haven't gotten around to listening to it yet, but god there's a very realistic chance the Women's Rumble gets hijacked by the crowd this year. PWInsider announced two more "surprise" entrants. In spoiler tags below: {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}Melina and Cameron Like if I were an NXT woman right now, I would be absolutely pissed off that they picked one of the names on that list over featuring actual talent in the company.

This will be a Rumble where the undercard outshines the Rumbles themselves

So how many slots does that leave open? Because they still have yet to officially confirm , Alexa , Bianca , Liv who we know will be in. And then women like Beth and Maryse who may pull double duty and then possibly returning talents off of injury etc. It is gonna come down to the wire to fit in any NXT women.

So how many slots does that leave open? Because they still have yet to officially confirm , Alexa , Bianca , Liv who we know will be in. Okay. Lemme do the math real quick. Alexa, Bianca, and Liv will all be in. And those two surprises. So that's 5 slots filled. That brings the total to 24. And if the RAW Women's Championship match happens before the Women's Rumble, that'll make it 25 or 26 slots most likely (With Becky and/or Doudrop entering). It's safe to say that Xia Li and Sonya will likely be in it as well, bumping it up to 27. And then you have Lacey, Asuka, and maybe (and that's a big maybe) Bayley or Sasha returning. Which would bump it to 30. Keep in mind, that's the absolute maximum limit right now I can think of, although they could also pull in other women like Molly Holly if necessary. But they don't need NXT talents this year, but absolutely should use them. So right now, just assuming that the two surprise entrants and Alexa, Bianca, and Liv are all in, that brings the total to 24. Leaving six slots open, which will inevitably be filled by legends or returns. So I don't see any NXT talent showing up this year, and its insanely stupid. And with Bruce taking over NXT, if I were Io, Sarray, or Dakota, I would be looking at getting out of the company real soon.

Take a step back for a sec, buddy. How over do you think Io Shirai actually IS? I know you’re saying NXT women in general, but like most of this is Shirai, let’s be honest. I get it, she’s an amazing talent and very popular, but she’s not 2013-2015 Daniel Bryan levels of over. Granted, we have no way of proving that one way or the other, but again, think of how over Bryan had to be for crowds to reject two Royal Rumbles wholesale largely on his behalf. Actual all-time levels of over. And you think someone on a show watched by around 20% of the number of people who watched RAW in 2014/2015 is going to cause that same kind of backlash in a larger stadium solely by her absence?

Considering Io has appeared on main roster television before and had casual fans eating out of her hands every single time, I would say very much over. Way more over than a lot of the surprises they have planned apparently! And while they definitely wouldn't hijack the show if she wasn't in it, it should be raising a lot of red flags if she isn't in it, especially considering some of the "surprises" they have planned.

So going solely off of NXT tonight and partially the womens dusty classic.
I think Raquel and Cora are going to back up KLR and go for the tag titles with KLR going for the womens and that Io is going to be the sole NXT woman in the rumble that will double as her main roster debut.

I wouldn't be sure of that. They could just have Io tagging up with someone else in the Dusty Classic, or having her wait her turn until after KLR gets her shot at the gold.

It definetly is no guarantee but I do feel if there was any scenario that gets Io into the Rumble this seems like the most clear one because of KLR going for Mandy and KLR's whole thing with Raquel and Cora and passing her bat etc.

They basically splintered their entire War Games alliance a couple weeks ago.

I'm not saying they'll hijack the rumble if Io doesn't show up. I'm saying they'll hijack it if it sucks, and right now if you consider the planned "surprise" entrants and who is announced so far, this is looking like the absolute worst women's rumble by a significant margin so far. There is very little actual hype behind it, when in reality the Rumble should be one of the most exciting (and generally unpredictable) matches on the card. Where this year its not exciting at all so far, and the winner is basically down to a small handful of women at this point.

The winner of any Rumble is down to a handful of people, that doesn’t mean anything. And there’s nothing about who’s been announced so far that makes me think the Rumble will be poor. There’s plenty of stars, past and current, already in with a bunch more spots to go. Also, one of those surprise entrants is actually a pretty over former star.

I've been really unhappy with the main roster, but I'm genuinely intrigued by this show, so I'll give them credit for that.
