They do have a problem in that they don't really have any good face options to beat Mandy and while I'm higher on her then most I don't know if Mandy can be a long term champion. Cora isn't ready and putting it on her any time soon would be a big mistake, Raquel just had a title reign and it wasn't exactly that great either. KLR while super talented isn't over at all, and Io should really be on the main roster at this point. Honestly I think the best move would be to do a slow burn face turn for Gigi and having her win it from Mandy as she's pretty over and while young looks pretty polished and doesn't look as green as the other youngsters probably because she started really young and worked the indies a while before signing with WWE. She definitely seems like a much more well rounded talent then Cora does at this point. Only problem though again is I don't know if Mandy is a strong enough talent to keep the belt for another six months or more. Unless I guess maybe you can have her and Io hot potato back and forth a bit with Io winning it and then Mandy winning it back before setting up the Gigi angle. Dakota would be a good choice but they seem extremely gun shy with A. Giving her any big wins or a string of wins to build any sort of momentum and B. Turning her Face despite how over and popular she is. Turning GiGi and having her break off from the rest of Toxic Attraction only works after she drops the tag titles. The problem is they don't really have any tag teams to drop them to. Kacy & Kayden have once again disappeared off the face of the earth; Indi and Persia they're teasing a split and breakup. That basically is their entire tag division right there. The tag titles are basically just glorified props right now with GiGi and Jacy approaching their 3rd month as champions with no challengers in sight and not having had a single title defense yet. They can easily just throw two of the babyface singles who aren't challenging for the singles belt together and have them beat Gigi and Jacy. Basically what they do on the main roster all the time. If they are there this week I could see Gigi and Jacy interfering tonight and helping Mandy win and then setting up a tag title feud with Cora and Raquel while Mandy moves on to either KLR or Io, most likely the latter.

IO , KLR , DAKOTA , CORA That is all they got because Raquel is most certainly getting the call up and Dakota is just not someone they seem to wanna do anything with and she all but but seems to be eyeing the exits. Cora IMO huge mistake strapping her up right now she needs much more time in the preverbial air fryer IMO she would be better off in a teaming with someone to flesh out a character and let the audience really come around to her whether she continues as a babyface or turns heel. That leaves KLR and Io as an interesting choice between the two as champion to dethrone Mandy and IMO if your goal is to have 1 woman bring everyone she faces up then you have to go with Io because there is no denying her reliability and consistency to make every single woman look better after they have faced her...just look at the small skirmish her and Cora had last week and it ended up being the best Cora has looked during her entire run in NXT thus far. I would include Sarray as an honorable mention but I am with Mistery on this one I am all but sure she is gone when they start releasing talents in packs again. Unless I guess maybe you can have her and Io hot potato back and forth a bit with Io winning it and then Mandy winning it back before setting up the Gigi angle. IMO I think a fair solution and this entirely relies on whether or not she re-signs with the company but have Io beat Mandy for the title and hold it untill Candice can return (as a babyface) and have her finally get her win on Io for the title she has pretty much been chasing forever now and then have Candice drop it to a heel KLR. And if all works out say by the beginning of 2023 if she is ready then CORAnate(HA) Cora by having her beat KLR for the title. IMO Mandy has done nothing for the title and it would not change on another reign she can be someone who chases it after she drops it and maybe she can win those tag titles but never should she be IMO the centre piece main singles champion.

Don't really have an opinion on Bron, but shooting him right to a feud with the champ and possibly winning the top title on the brand right out the gates when he's still pretty green seems to be doing him a disservice, no? Surely a long undefeated streak, working his way up the card would've been better? Guess they want him on Raw or Smackdown asap so are fast tracking developmental. Could backfire

Ciampa vs Bron is going to be completely commercial free. I'm not looking forward to a title change tonight, but whatever.

If NXT 2.0 is meant to be pure developmental, a developmental guy should probably be champion.
Also in WWE, the βslow burnβ storyline very rarely is done well.

Commercial free if there was any doubt before there is none now they strappin that boy up tonight.
What he does after will be his real test on whether WWE pulled the trigger too early and maybe should let the likes of Pete Dunne finally win it first.

Yeah, Mandy's retaining. She'll pin Raquel while Gigi and Jacy screw over Cora. This way they can continue the story that Mandy can't beat Cora, and Cora can say she was screwed out of the win. Canβt wait till they sign Rok-C and give her a roller skating gimmick as Jadeβs tag partner.

I think it was worth a shot with Mandy but you are probably right. She definitely looks the part but the bar for in ring work has been set too high for her. I'm actually higher on her in ring then most in that I think she's solid but today solid isn't good enough to be a perennial main eventer in a women's division. You have to be someone who can put out at least ***1/2 PPV matches every time and if not then you have to be a really strong promo. Mandy isn't either. Using the Bret rating system she's probably a 10 in the look part but in the skill areas those being in ring and promo skills she's probably like a 5 or a 6 in both.

Doesn't help that Mandy basically came down to NXT and WWE expected everyone to forget about her constantly losing in squash matches on the main roster for almost three years.

Swerve: the show is actually a giant troll job and they're just going to air the 1980 slasher flick New Year's Evil for the 2 hours.

I love how Johnny gets two violations in a row, then Danny wins with a direct kick to the friggin' face.
