That was an underwhelming finish. Beating Ciampa should've been more hard work than a bulldog and a Camel Clutch. I’m inclined to agree and even thought during it I wouldn’t mind a screwy finish that leads to a third singles bout between them but...you’d hear “shenanigans, no decisive decisions “ so..might as well do it now. I think their first match was better paced. On another note that table bump was nuts. Sure it was gimmicked but it still looked cool as hell. Looked painful as all hell.

I was one of the first people to say that Bron losing was the best thing they could do for his first title shot. At the end of the day, you need to have characters deal with struggles and if Bron won right away, there wouldn’t be a struggle. They didn’t quite fully do that to help him rebuild to this one but the purpose was there. Ciampa was the perfect guy to do that with, too.
And about it being developmental? It is but as long as it’s on USA, it’s a nationally produced TV show first and, really, Bron was one of the most pushed characters day one with enough people to face to help him improve. I can also believe, having not watched, that he’s as good as he is and has enough of a rogues gallery to only help him improve.

How I would book it, is Bronn needing to “prove” he is a true champion by facing a series of veterans who can all put him through his paces.
Have him face Roddy Strong, Cameron Grimes, LA Knight, Pete Dunne, maybe even WALTER, etc.
Side bonus is hopefully they can help grow him as a performer at the same time.

You also have Escobar & possibly Styles if he's getting a run in NXT as well he could work with that I think would be fun

People also forget that WWE pushed guys like Angle and Brock to the top right out of the gate on the Main Roster as well. They were world champions within their first year. Women like Charlotte and Alexa as well. Now I am not saying that Bronn is going to be the next Brock or Kurt, that’d be absurd at this point. But if you think you have something special with him, try it out. Angle wrestled for a year before debuting on TV, Brock was in development for 2 years prior to his debut and both were rough around the edges. Pretty sure they both had more main roster dark matches before their debut then Breakker has had period. And they both worked with a lot of guys who can show them the ropes on the fly when they did hit the main roster. Bron Breakker has had 10-15 matches, he’s showing all the signs of being a future star but they really have to protect him during this title reign. Squash geeks and have long matches with veterans should be all he does for 6 months, he shouldn’t be asked to carry one of the 2.0 rookies to a solid match on TV yet. Actually, they should really have Breakker on the road with the main roster ASAP so he can be working dark matches and house show matches (if they’re even running any currently) to get him main roster ready. Steel sharpens steel, him working with experienced and skilled main roster geeks before every show can be nothing but beneficial.

I was about to post the same thing about Angle and Brock having way more experience at the time they showed up on TV. I know Bron is super inexperienced on paper, but I have to imagine he's been working for awhile with his dad and/or uncle, and whoever else, before he popped up on TV. Unless he is really just that much of a quick learner.

He does have 14 matches from his NXT TV debut to now, including a handful of main roster house shows he worked with Ciampa and I think Dunne.

I'm a huge Roddy mark so this is a biased opinion but I think he'd be a perfect first feud in terms of working with a vet who can help him in the ring.

I have to assume he meant first time watching him wrestle live because I'd be shocked if his dad wasn't coaching him closely in training.

The only thing not clicking about him is his name. They brought out Rick Steiner to celebrate with him. He should have used the opportunity to cut a promo about how he's not a breakker, but rather a STEINER! Still time to do that if he gets called up or turns heel.

I still wish they'd use Steiner, but that's just me.

That bit about his singlet is so f***ing wholesome I mean, I prefer the ‘90s print gear because nobody else does it nowadays, but if he had a nice wholesome reason for it, I’ll live.

The guy has Goldberg level 'out of no where, instantly over' charisma, but has so much more ability and desire to learn due to his family.
If they play it right, WWE just lucked themselves out a new face of the company.
