Lord. Man's man. Goodwill ambassador. Commissioner. King. Old villain. GM. Wrestler. Regal sure has done a lot, WWE may not appreciate that but we can so post your favourite memories in text or video form (just follow the embed rules). The promo before his final match with Cesaro sums him up perfectly. One of the all-time great promos (good match too). m.youtube.com/watch?v=T4zmenHmjxk

Regal's always seemed like such a stand up guy. Real sad to see him go.

WWE's loss could be AEW's gain.

I absolutely love Regal but I totally get why they got rid of him. I just read his book again which is fabulous by the way.

His character work during his run with Eugene was absolutely brilliant. Even when he was "good" he was never shy of letting you know he was a total bastard. He just had a soft spot for Eugene

The Regal Penis shall never be forgotten!
Real Man's Man is quite possibly one of the greatest WWE Entrance Songs in the history of our sport.

He's sure had quite a career and still a long way to go. He came to WCW at a time when silly gimmicks were normally played by guys who really weren't good enough. I think the royal/blue blood could be something that doesn't work, if it's played by the wrong guy. He of course was THE RIGHT guy. I knew he was going through some problems in the late 90s and I thought that, combined with the Man's Man gimmick (which I feel like was a rib since he was a WCW guy) would have hurt his career but WWF probably knowing he would do anything they gave to him, helped him earn the long term spot along with his work.
I'm happy for him doing so well the last 20 years and as a fan am proud of what he accomplished especially given how things could have gone with his personal problems. I hope whatever he wishes will work out. I would love to see him scooped up by AEW ASAP but if he just wants to relax and step away I would love that to.

Regal was the first British wrestler I saw on TV. He is part of why I am a fan. His career is truly outstanding.

I think that promo by Regal before his last match is the best pro wrestling promo. Its a promo that can tap into a long career but with regrets of mistakes he made. Gives me chills seeing it.
Though those last few seconds of him grimacing as we do a slight zoom in is weird.

Amazing talent and seems to be amazing backstage/scouting as well. From what we’ve heard yesterday and today, it seems that he kind of stepped into that Dusty role in NXT of mentoring and developing talent and characters, so it could be a huge hole left there. Have to assume he’ll have no shortage of job offers.

Witness the devastating Power of the Punch! Tim-beeeeeeeerrr! This gif alone looks like it could have gone badly if not for Regal's impeccable ring attention. If he wouldn't have turned his right leg as perfect and subtle as he did when Show landed on him, he could have ended in the Rey Fenix position.
Go on do great things, please?

I listened to an interview Regal did with Wrestletalk years ago that gets across just how entertaining he is. In it, Regal talks about getting a letter from FedEx ("I thought they were the police, so I quickly hid my dodgy video recorders"), meeting Dusty Rhodes ("he sat there naked, looking like a melted sundae") & did an impression of his tryout opponent which had me actually laughing out loud.
Regal is clearly a fan of practical comedy, & if he had been born a Century ago, I genuinely believe he would've been a silent film star. His mannerisms & facial expressions are just fantastic. Guy is an asset to anywhere he goes.

Regal was the first British wrestler I saw on TV. He is part of why I am a fan. His career is truly outstanding. Dude was last great Heel World TV Champion and he brought that British/World of Sport style and worked it seamlessly into American Rasslin. Just about awesome in any role and as short as it was, I loved Mad King Regal. Dude was so unhinged, he made Vince nervous.
