Gotta be Soda Poppinski, he's been the most memorable fighter for me. Also, did anyone else break multiple NES controllers because of this game? I'm not even talking about chucking the damn things across the room. I'm talking about completely destroying the "A" and "B" buttons after desperately trying to mount one last comeback. I think I managed to ruin two controllers because of this game.

The best Soda quote: "I drink to prepare for a fight. Tonight I am very prepared."

Had to go with King Hippo, he was just fun to beat. youtube.com/watch?v=QYR_acwm0VQ Tyson loses in round one and never lands a hit, Little Mac is Cena is disguise.

That was the greatest thing I've ever seen. Ever. And I've seen some pretty cool shit in my day.

Great Tiger, it was always keep watching the jewel to see when it flashed and the KO punchs on him.

I remember by way of passwords beating Super Macho Man. He was hard, yeah, but you people sound like he should've been a zillion times harder...although I did throw out several mental and verbal "WTF"s when he did that Tornado punch and it just kept rolling, especially near the end where he did it 7 or 8 times in a row.
The only two people I haven't beaten now are Mr. Sandman and Mr. Dream (ive been playing it on Animal Crossing since my NES is broke...pretty much the only good reason to get Animal Crossing is for the NES games...which makes me wonder why the DS one sells a single copy).

I voted for Soda, just because he was my biggest roadblock in the game. I could always reach him but never beat him. I hated the second verson of Don Flamenco, though. True story, I had one match go to a decision against him. I knocked him down twice in each round. I had him down to a sliver of health left. He never landed a single punch on me. That damn Mario still awarded that fruit the match. Mario held me down!!!

The problem is he's such a wanker it's hard to do.

Even in Super Punch-Out, Mr. Sandman was badass.
Maybe not that hard all the time, but his look just said "I'm gonna beat the everloving crap out of you."

Glass Joe.... I don't know if this is true or not, but in either a comic or cartoon that was on back in the day, didnt Glass Joe become a good guy and help someone in the Nintendo family out? Could be wrong

Could be wrong I know Piston Honda does. In one of the comics, he was set to donate the money from the fight to a children's hospital in Japan, so Mac just gave him the money and they became friends. If there's anyone I'd peg as truly "evil," I'd say it's Bald Bull. Probably because he's impossible to knock out the second time, I have surmised that it is due to him taking speed and meth.

Flamenco cheats in an even less manly way the second time through, though. He obviously bought off Mario, so you have to knock him out in order to get the win. Otherwise, you NEVER win a decision against him.
