For as cartoonish as GLOW was, Matilda really scared me as a kid. She was also a pioneer in the “apartment wrestling” scene.

I didn't watch any GLOW but am familiar with who she was, always liked seeing her show up in movies and on TV.
She had a great small part in "How I Got Into College"...
Rest in peace, ma'am.

I just watched Deathstalker II last weekend, in which she makes a memorable appearance as an Amazon warrior. I feel like she could have been a big star as a monster heel in 80s-90s WWF if their women's division hadn't been such an afterthought at the time.

Very sad. She was absolutely awesome and I'm glad with the renewed interest in GLOW over the past few years she's been able to be really given her flowers.

RIP. Sadly 73 is a good innings in the wrestling world.

That and you know, WWF only getting its women from one source. Matilda would have had a chance at the time though as Vince didn't settle into his type yet that would be blatant in the Attitude Era and beyond. Then again, I recall Monster Ripper's fate there, soooo...
