A loud and hype Philly Crowd was subjected to three hours straight of HEAT tonight that was RAW until they were thoroughly pummeled into the ground and completely silenced. Now there has been some HEAT on WWE shows lately, but tonight was a thoroughly special shitshow... Just to give you a breakdown.
- Hurt business break up to start the show - Brock runs Lashley down and calls Lashley a wannabe and leaves - Lashley kills Hurt Business just because after the fact - Riddle and Orton lose the belts clean to Alpha Academy. Orton got the loudest pops of the night, crowd deflated here big time - Damien and Street Profits lose clean to Apollo and Dirty Dogs after feeling it went on for about five years to make it worse - Big E lost clean to Seth Rollins after he proclaimed he would be a world champion again so that was fun. - Nikki ASH turns on Rhea RIpley and beats her down after a long awkward promo - Omos Squash where Omos almost killed the poor guy, he's really not good. - Edge and Becky shit on Miz and Maryse (Only Face Segment of the night where the Faces really won out) - AJ Styles gets DQ beat down by Grayson Waller, Waller runs off just as Styles turns it around - Alexa's dumbass therapy session that deserves it's own thread - Becky cuts another promo about how she is superior to everyone - Becky and Corey scream over everyone on commentary about how awesome she is and how she beats everyone during the women's triple threat - Becky distracts Bianca to take her out of the match so DOUDROP can win and face Becky at the Rumble
This show can go f*** itself frankly lmfao. Philly didn't deserve this, and no one else deserves the three hour HEAT Vortez that it was. What an absolute shitshow. I feel so bad for the Philly fans who legit were really hyped when this show started but by the end you could hear crickets, just a disaster
AND YET ANOTHER WEEK WITH NO VEER SEGMENT, YOU COWARDS!

At this point, I think we do need to see a Raw or a Smackdown where it's just the heels getting their asses kicked, Super-Cena style.

Should've made it three hours of Monday Night Velocity instead.

Just have some god damn balance to a show, there were a ton of egregious heel wins on here. In no realm should Apollo and The Dirty Dogs have won that six man especially, that set the tone for the rest of the night, it never really got better.

I've been thinking about the super heat since live events with crowds have come back. There have been many shows since the comeback where you see fans pumped and ready to see live wrestling again, but by the end of the show they're sitting on their hands. Tonight went from a hot crowd to a silent one because it was just heel win after heel win, heel turns, beatdowns, etc. And that's not even including the commercials, the entrance then other thing trope, etc. that must be miserable live. I'm not saying only good guys can win, but WWE is going harder and harder on having "shocking" sad moments/losses to get crowd shots like this to absurd ends: It strikes me as a massive mistake that WWE has taken a swing that's t-ball tier difficulty (happy fans back and excited to see live wrestling again) and are treating them to shows like this, and I feel like it's gonna bite them in the ass hard in the years to come, especially with most of their live events being TV tapings where this is at its worst. I know I personally thought about going to some shows that came to my area this year, but after seeing how much of a bummer it was on TV I stayed home instead and missed shows that had a combined like 27 minutes of wrestling across 5 hours as all the top people were heels that are portrayed at being so far above any face. I don't think this is something that'd really hit for a while, but live events were already in decline before, but long term I think missing the easy layup of making returning live fans happy is gonna hurt.

That does f*** all for making them sit through three hours of shit, and it does nothing for the million plus viewers watching at home either... so the rationale there is a big pile of shit imo.

Don't look on Twitter or Reddit, you'll see nothing but bot responses, they never think anything WWE does is bad. t's not worth getting even angrier over lol

The Hurt Business have been “officially” broken up for since around “Wrestlemania” last year, but the WWE seems insistent of every so often to “re-dismantle” a faction that is already broken.
With that said, RK-Bro losing the Tag Team Championships feels like it came out of no where as I didn’t expect Alpha Academy to be the one’s to dethrone them and I was certain the former would hold onto the titles until “Wrestlemania”
I’m sure there will be a rematch at either the “Royal Rumble” or the Saudi Arabia show, and it makes me wonder what the plan for Riddle and Orton is because even though they’ve been doing the strange bedfellows, odd couple tag team thing for the better part of a year.
They’re easily one of, if not they most over thing in the company and it just feels too soon to break them up.

Look at someone like me, who tries to be an optimist and not fall into the doom-posting traps, I’m not even watching the show or posting in the thread. You know what I did today instead of watching RAW at 12pm Australian time on a Tuesday? I had a nap, because my sleep pattern is f***ed, I watched some cricket and then I went up to the shops to get some milk, sugar and instant coffee. Right now, I’m back to watching the cricket. Other than a bit of a back and forth on Twitter with Bang Bang Bart, I didn’t give RAW a second thought. Inevitably, I’ll watch five minutes of match finishes or read the reports for the sake of the points rankings, which I’m only still doing for the NXT rookie game that people are still into, and I’ll probably never think of this RAW ever again. And the concerning thing is, it might have detached me from wrestling as a whole. I’ve made the honest effort to try and get into AEW, but even that isn’t really pushing all the buttons for me. Xxcjb01xX [PIECE OF: SH-], I’ve known you on this board for eight years, and for the vast majority of those eight years, the WWE product has been driving you to make these kinds of posts, yet not drive you away completely. And you’ve made A LOT of posts. Legitimately more than anyone else on the board. What keeps you coming back? Honestly. What are you, or any of us really, getting out of WWE right now, a product that gives us less than nothing, other than a bizarre joy being derived out of communal misery?

If you buy tickets to WWE while watching WWE you're a rube and this is what you deserve. I feel sorry for any casuals subjected to a live WWE taping but if you actually watch the show, expecting it to be miraculously good when it comes to your town is complete insanity

In my defense, Chiral said they were gonna make the thread first, but they weren't sure how much could be gotten out of it, I wasn't going to make the thread, but then Doudrop won on heel Becky interference, and I felt like it was abspolutely worth making to discuss. i like riffing in the live threads with people, I like supporting wrestlers I like, I like calling out bullshit when I see it. I write and study a lot of pacing and production of shows, I find WWE's to be pretty fascinating when it's really bad, but when it's really good it can be great, just like many wrestling fans who watch, my opinions on shows can vary and my thoughts on WWE just as much so. The reality is some people are going to have a bigger breaking point than others, I have found most RAW's to be enjoyable with the FAN thread interactions and I enjoy analyzing the shows and hearing the different points or in some cases points of agreement.

At the end of the day, I think most of us just want WWE to be better, and I doubt these shows overloading on heel heat and the faces looking like weak losers is the best way to go about it.

House shows sure. The main roster live experience is generally sitting on your ass for 50% of the show time staring at the big movie screen while R-Truth jogs in a dark ring lol
