This is all fine because on Twitter the IWC will manifest a non-existent one-night working relationship with WWE and seemingly every single wrestling promotion that currently exists for the Rumble which will feature everyone you ever loved apparently.

Hell…I loved WCW when the nWo was making chumps out of WCW. I love me some heel heat at the expense of the faces. That being…this isn’t nWo vs WCW we’re talking about…it’s WWE that has no idea how to pay off a strong heel run or how to properly book a face or how to walk and breathe at the same time. The majority of WWE’s angles makes Starrcade 97 look like Shakespeare at this point. Lots of heel heat can be ok if there’s an end game…there’s lots of fans that love them some heels. (I’m looking at you guy with Nexus logo shaved in your head at Survivor Series sitting in front of me.)

Damn so is VEER vaporware now? Mock all you want but when he debuts holding a Sega Neptune That can play half-life 3 and Team Fortress 3. While in his other hand is a DVD of the Live-Action Thundercats movie. Who will be laughing then?!

The only thing I had an issue with last night was Ziggler pinning Dawkins.

I thought that was a good episode of Raw, and it didn’t come off as overly “heaty” to me.
Lesnar is a face and came out looking good. Lashley is pretty much a tweener and beating up Cedric/Shelton did not make the segment feel like a big heat-seeking segment.
The tag title match was fun and I loved the surprise ending of Otis/Gable winning. Total flashback to Henry beating Orton clean for the title in a similar way. They’ve really built up Otis as a monster in the last few months, shades of prime Vader. He’s so much better as a heel. This sets up either a rematch where RKBro win the titles back or maybe they do the breakup angle pre-Mania so they can have a big singles feud for Riddle and Orton at Mania.
Edge/Beth came out on top of their segment.
Dolph winning was odd but I’d guess it’s just to give him either another title match with Priest or to make him look strong going into the Rumble.
Big E and Seth had a PPV level singles match with Rollins looking strong going into the Rumble title match. No issues there.
Face Nikki ASH is not good television so her turning and Rhea staying face was the opposite of heat to me.
The Styles segment was a good build up for NXT (finally promoting it on Raw in the right way but probably too little too late).
Becky was hilarious on commentary and Doudrop winning is fresh. I assume Doudrop will be tweener for this feud, as Becky will be the bigger heel. It’s also now pretty clear Bianca-Becky is the plan for Mania so I’m excited about Bianca getting another Mania main event (and she’s not buried!).

It would seem that the ongoing absence of at least one WWE superstar from TV the last several weeks, despite being on the Raw roster, has rendered pointless my need to watch any of this.
I sincerely expect Finn not to last with the company beyond the Rumble or, maybe, the Saudi show.
