Just thought this was an interesting little what-if to pass along. www.cagesideseats.com/aew/2022/1/12/22879550/thunder-rosa-wwe-hurricaneAt that point in time I could have seen her maybe amounting to something - maybe could've been the one to end Shayna's reign instead of Rhea - but in the long run definitely think it worked out for the better that she didn't.

She’d have had a great run in NXT, but then would have been fed to Charlotte or Becky and probably have been released by now.

If she had signed she is absolutely somebody we would be talking about in the releases thread.

In an alternate universe where she was hired by WWE, she became Rosita the flamingo dancer and lost nearly every match.

It obviously turned out for the best that she didn’t go with WWE, but in the dilemma she was in, I don’t blame her for considering it. If every wrestler could sustain a healthy living for themselves and their family just on the indie hustle, then they’d all be doing it and nobody would need to sign with WWE.

I could easily see WWE renaming her IF they let her work. I've heard in the past they wanted her as a ref.

Rosa still had a bit of a ways to go work wise in 2019 so it was probably better for her development in the long run to continue working as often as possible on the indies as opposed to joining the PC and learning largely one style.

Didn’t they want her to be a ref? Yeah I watched her episode of Renee’s podcast the other day the offer was to be a referee. I remember hearing they offered a few women wrestlers the chance to be a referee at that time and they ended up signing Aja Perera who’s now on Raw.

There's an alternate timeline where Rosa's a ref and Adam Cole is a bald manager.

From a bit of Googling Tasha Steelz has said they offered her a role as a referee as well but she turned them down as she still wanted to wrestle.

Yes she had been in the business less than a year no one had a clue about her like at all when she debuted in LU and she wrestled the Mighty Bengala in her debut who was not too fond of having to put over this green as grass talent so it did not make for a pleasent debut and then somehow in her very next match she wrestles gawd damn sexy star and it ends up being a better match somehow lol. Oh and she has the distinct honor of having the worst promo ever in LU but we in the Gecko thread(expensive plug he charges by the letter) will eventually get there and that will be fun.
