Meanwhile it was his 3 years clean anniversary:
I don't think he ever did another pre-show before or after. So was this a set up and this was a mean-spirited rib on Jarrett or was this kayfabe and he knew it was coming?
Booker laughing out loud doesn't help anyone's cause.

What the f*** were Elias and Jeff Jarrett doing feuding in 2020 I want answers Well, you see, they both use guitars and one of them was an actual singer in kayfabe (albeit actually vocalized by Jesse James, who then became Road Dogg who then became the most annoying man to write a wrestling show ever) and…that’s it. That was the feud. And it went way longer than it needed to.

WWE would never exploit someone's past addictions on national television.

Cause I swear I remember the start of it, but 2020 was like my year off from wrestling, how did this go on for a year???

I know they brought back Jeff there for some reason. He wasn’t back beyond that, though.

Has Elias been locked away where they kept Hangman Page during his kidnapping angle on BTE?

Has Elias been locked away where they kept Hangman Page during his kidnapping angle on BTE? No, silly. He’s locked up where Samoa Joe was before they released him.

They had Elias and Double J be the first two entrants in the 2019 Rumble, and that's what started the mini-feud.

Elias is one to talk.
I am sure it was he who drove Hetty Woodstone to her cocaine habit.
(Four out of five barbers approve of it)
Dammit, gotta get Ghosts out of my head!

I'm gonna preface this by saying Jeff seems like a really good dude these days. I've met him a few times and he's been very kind, and you can tell from his podcast that he lets a lot of shit slide these days that old Jeff might have perseverated on.
That said, he's a carnie, and carnie's gonna carnie. I'm sure he gave Elias the OK to drop this statement because "heat."

Was the plan meant to be a match maybe? Then someone pulled out, or WWE realised it wasnt going to work?
I can't see why they'd bother starting something on TV no less if they didnt have an endgame that then got changed.

To lighten things up, Jeff has gotten himself into great shape. Glad he's recovered so well from his addiction.

I don't know who forced him to have to wear that awful classic gear at RR19 but I'm glad he's able to go out on his terms.

Oh god yeah this was such a bad look: The weirder thing about all that is, objectively, the Slapnuts look is what he was more well known for, wasn’t it? Whether by his late WWF and WCW runs or TNA or anything else. Like, Vince didn’t publicly fire Jeff Jarrett on TV post-buyout for faking a singing career, did he?
