Yesterday (Saturday) in Colleyville, Texas there was a gunman at Congregation Beth Israel. He took four hostages at 11:00 AM CT. The hostages were kept for 11 hours until the FBI team rescued all four hostages, all physically safe, and killed the suspect. More info here - www.cnn.com/2022/01/16/us/colleyville-texas-hostage-situation-sunday/index.htmlHas this been covered by your local outlets at all?

Saw that it was happening live yesterday but refused to watch.
I'm Jewish and shit like this is highly upsetting to me.

Thank God the hostages all made it out alive. Awful that it happened at all, but at least it ended without them being killed.

I was so very glad it was resolved without anyone getting killed.
The logic of committing a terrorist act as a protest because someone got jailed for committing a terrorist act does not add up for me.

I'm just glad that the hostages were physically unharmed. Still, another act of violence against my people that makes it a bit harder to sleep at night.

Well my local is Dallas and since that includes the Colleyville, yeah. I saw more online though as I only watch the locals for sports and emergency weather. I felt bad for the local reporters I follow as they were being lambasted for not "reporting the whole story" and only going with what they could confirm and not everything Facebook defectives could find.

I love that typo, it's so correct.

To say I was nervous with the updates and live feeds, would be an understatement. Happy all the all hostages made it out.

A British citizen with links to Al Quaeda - won't go any further as we all know what it means.
Glad all hostages were saved.

the hostage taker was from my home town, his family have confirmed his death and said he had mental health issues.
two people have been arrested in Manchester (20ish miles away.) linked to this.
