I guess now we see if WWE treats him alright and if he elects to renew when the time comes. Either way, his position has improved.

I guess now we see if WWE treats him alright Trust me, I am not expecting them to. Still, he wouldn't be the first guy they got off their ass with and tried when they decided to try to keep them around.

Dude is going to lose to Austin Theory, then he's out the door.

I mean, if you're not gonna let the poor sod go, then at least give him something to actually do and get some tv time in.
Either things will improve, or Ali gets a chance for a little tv shine before he walks out the door. Better than just exile.

I'm hoping Ali gets a chance to have a good run with an actual push. Not just decent opponents for a few months so he can have good matches. Ali has had good matches for his entire run from 205 Live to the main roster. He tried via social media to make sense of Retribution. He held his ground against a gimmick he didn't want and ended up, possibly, gaining some victory over it with his return. It's time he has a chance to BOTH have good matches AND reap something from it all.
Obviously they won't take the US title off Theory anytime soon since he's the Vince pet project. The key here is to tell the story of Ali having to overcome hurdles into the summer or even fall if they can manage that. This way they get the title reign out of Theory they want and Ali can finally win the US title at SummerSlam or the UK Stadium Show and keep it for a bit. If they did that, it would I think repair some of the distrust a lot of fans have, which is why I don't blame anyone for not being optimistic about his return. I myself don't feel overly optimistic about Ali's return reaping much success. They need to start proving they can do things better with the returns of Ali and Asuka before I feel I can lean toward optimistic some more.
They have a chance for something good here if they so choose to pull the trigger on it. I don't want to see Ali fall victim to 'focus on one person and one only' mindset when more than one person can benefit here over time.

Well, i guess doing the job to Theory for a couple weeks/months for Vince amusement is better than sitting at home.

I could see him taking the title, then losing it back or to someone else quite quickly though.
I think the US and IC titles could do with a little hot potatoing, given the World titles are so stagnated

Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month in May, Ali returns at the end of April, coincidence? Not necessary, because VEER.
