Again, while "The Aristocats" isn't exactly up there in terms of Disney movies that are universally praised, I always wonder why Disney doesn't just use live action to remake box office flops like "The Black Cauldron" (which, again, would require Disney making mention of the existence of said movie) or movies that didn't quite reach the zeitgeist like "Oliver and Company".

As if two celebrity deaths wasn't enough today. Oh and I have another possible eye roller in the movies, hang on....

Fox and the Hound. Only LIKE THE BOOK.

Is there really a market for this? Aristocats are more like in The E Tier level of Disney Films

Is there really a market for this? Aristocats are more like in The E Tier level of Disney Films It is an odd choice. It came along during that post-Walt/pre-Renaissance era where the animated movies during that time were (mostly) liked, but never became the childhood institutions that Disney's earlier and later movies were. And even for that era Aristocats wasn't particularly well remembered. I can't see this having a lot of nostalgic popularity behind it.

They're remaking the one with the most ho ass Disney villain, I see.
At least Gov. Ratcliffe from Pocahontas, he had a little bit of swag.

Disney is going to update the super racist Chinese cats to be more acceptable in todays climate by making them "Disney's first gay character".

Or movies that didn't quite reach the zeitgeist like "Oliver and Company". That one would have to be a period piece. The look and tone of that movie could only take place in the 1980s.

Opening shot;
Daytime
Establishing crane shot of a small sleepy town, Focus on a brick stone building can be seen, labeled talent agency. We see various cars driving about the town.
Sweep into a steady shot of our main characters, A quirky family of four struggling to make the ends meet driving a minivan to the grocery store.
Ooooooh, nevermind

Disney is going to update the super racist Chinese cats to be more acceptable in todays climate by making them "Disney's first gay character". On the plus side, that scene was actually in Lady and the Tramp, not the Aristocats. On the minus side, it says something that the latter is apparently so unmemorable that we recall cat scenes from other Disney film than the ones in this movie.

While there is not the two racist cats in Aristocats, there is a part in the main song of the movie Everybody wants to be a cat, that gets a bit racist to china. There is a cat playing a piano with Chopsticks while singing "Shanghai, Hong Kong, egg-foo-young, Fortune cookie always wrong." I don't now what it is about Disney but they love racist animated cats

So it will just be two hours of comedians telling really dirty jokes? Yes, but they're all cat-themed. So this guy is running a talent agency and one day this family of cats come in a momma cat, a daddy cat, a brother, and sister kitten, and their little pet chihuahua. The daddy cat says. "Hey, we got an act for you." The agent says. "Okay, the fact you can talk is pretty impressive itself, but what is the act." .....
