So tell me am I the only one who finds Flair's heel turn on Piper very similar to HBK's heel turn on Hogan. Mainly the way it just ended. As soon as their programs, they are just faces the night night, back to our regular schedule program, it was all a dream.
Well Flair's turn at least build, HBK was so out of no where.

Weirdly even though he was the heel in the feud I never felt like Shawn was a permanent heel even while the feud was going on. It felt like in story he was pulling out the "old HBK" because he needed something extra to be able to take down Hogan.

I refuse to believe Flair was ever a face. When the NWO were at their height, basically anyone else who mattered was face by default.
That and Ric later in his career was often a face...as long as Sting wasn't around. If Sting was around Ric was like the Scorpion and the Frog. It was just in his nature to betray Sting.

Hogan was doing the "I need to prove myself against the current best" thing that HBK was already doing, a face vs. face program would never make sense. The real issue was Hogan backing out of the 3 match series after getting roasted by Shawn on the mic and taking issue with Shawn bumping like heel Shawn |
