To commemorate their 30 year anniversary AAA Lucha Lire has announced that this year will feature three Triplemania events on April 30th, June 18th and October 15th and these will be headlined by an eight man Ruleta de la Muerte Tournament.
What is a Ruleta de la Muerte Tounament? In a nutshell it's a tournament in which the loser moves on, which will culminate on October 15th. The one who loses in the final will be unmasked.
Who are the 8?
Ultimo Dragon: Japanese Wrestling legend, held championships allover the world and highly regarded as one of the greatest junior heavyweights, and masked wrestlers of all time.
Blue Demon Jr: Adopted son of one of the most famous luchadors of all tim, possessing perhaps the most iconic mask in all of Lucha Libre.
Pentagon Jr: One of the absolute top international stars in the world.
Psycho Clown: The Ace of Triple A Lucha Libre. Headlined 4 Triplemanias
El Canek: One of the foremost legends in all of Mexico, most famous for body slamming Andre the Giant.
Rayo De Jalisco Jr: Son of one of the biggest stars in Lucha Libre in the 50s. Top star of CMLL through the late 90s and early 2000s
LA Park: One of the biggest legends in the history of Lucha Libre. One of the few stars big enough to work for both CMLL and AAA at the same time.
Villano IV: One of the two living members of the legendary Villano family and the only one still masked.
Ultimately this is a stacked tournament and could be a MAJOR selling point for AAA's biggest show of the year.

It's an interesting tournament idea. I do wonder who ultimately gets unmasked. These are a lot of really big names.
I'm going to venture a guess and say El Canek. He's the oldest by like 5 years, and this seems like a good way to cash in his chips, so to speak.
Pentagon Jr, Ultimo Dragon, and LA Park all seem entirely too active to agree to unmask, and Blue Demon Jr. seems like he'd take himself a bit too seriously to entertain it. Psycho Clown also seems unlikely given what a big star they present him as. It just doesn't feel like the right time. Villano IV and Rayo De Jalisco Jr. are certainly options, neither guy getting any younger, but still, my initial guess is El Canek.
As an aside, Pentagon Jr. vs Ultimo Dragon? Yes please.

The other thing with Blue Demon is that he technically doesn’t own the rights to the character though. The original Blue Demon’s biological son owns the right to the character, while Blue Demon jr (his adopted son) owns the rights to portray the character in the ring. Whether that makes him more or less likely to ever lose his mask I don’t know for sure.

If that's the case, then yeah, I don't see him doing it unless he's basically retiring immediately, and if that were the aim, I figure he'd probably want to promote a match that was based around that instead of doing it as part of a tournament.

Villano IV really has no business competing at his age and the condition he is in. He and his brothers five years ago were part of a match so bad, it nearly got minus five stars

What a weird idea, a reverse tournament is very TNA. Winning a match and being done will be the main issue. It would make more sense to be G1 points based with the lowest score unmasking, also means they don't have to lose every match.

It's two big names and you know Park can carry him in a brawl that will cover his limitations.
