This seriously might be one of the best ladder spots of all time. Perfect execution when so many things could go wrong.

Y'know, in general, I like that Sammy won while also getting the coolest (and most terrifying) spots in the match. I feel like WWE primed me to expect ladder matches especially to have all of the cool legwork done by the loser or by someone who's just filling out a multi-man. AEW isn't always great about it, but I usually feel like if someone is great to have in a match, they are actually more likely to win.

I wish the match had more time because it felt like they rushed from spot to spot and didn't have time to build to any or sell any of the offense.
That aside, That will be replayed for years to come.

They damn near killed each other in that ladder match and a guy coming out from under the ring was the much bigger moment.

That will be on every AEW Highlight Reel till the end of time
And it should be, the picture perfect accuracy to pull it off cannot be overstated, that's true skill and trust in action
Bravo to them both

That spot was incredible. It could have easily gone wrong, but it couldn’t have gone any better. That’s definitely going to be an iconic moment.

I've seen so, so, SO many ladder spots involving jumping off the top rung like that go horribly wrong over the years (I immediately think of the Hardys' book where Jeff wants to do this spot at WM17 where he walks over three ladders and he couldn't do it in rehersal and everyone is like "dude cut this spot you can't" and he was like "NO IM DOING IT" then WM17 happened and he botched it just the same) and here Sammy just did jumps off the top run like it was nothing.

Y'know, I was thinking when he was setting up the senton...does Sammy do more highspots from a narrower stance than most wrestlers? I was thinking that his stance looked familiar from other Sammy matches, and then had the thought that I feel sure that most wrestlers start their spots from a wider base.

That was one of the greatest cutters you'll ever see.

The cutter, the crossrhodes, and both of them hanging on together were all really cool spots. I liked the ladder match, for the most part, because it didn’t feel completely like a spot-fest. A lot of the match felt old-school ladder-match-y. But that senton really aggravated me with just how painful and self-inflicted it came off on Sammy’s part.

Unreal. Absolutely beautiful, I don't think that spot could be executed any better.
Props to the production team for capturing it perfectly, too.

I went "can someone please stop this lunatic?" at least 3 times during the match. Eesssh. MotN on a pretty eventful night.

That was a spot a lot of iconic spots which they were. Like, that should have gone badly, badly wrong so absolute props that it didn’t.

Amazing spot in a really enjoyable match. Everything that's fun about wrestling.

I thought this was gonna be about the senton... I legit thought Sammy broke his back with that

It was pretty damn impressive and pretty much pulled off perfectly but do think it'd have benefitted from better camerawork. You could kind of so obviously see Sammy getting into position for it from a mile off that it made Cody look like an idiot just letting it happen.

You know those guys were marking out on the inside after it happened.

Man that spot was excellent. Wasn't a big fan of the outside ladder spot where Sammy did a tumbleweed onto a ladder that didn't bend. That could've ended really bad
