They will live on in Yakuza games at least.
Really disappointing because those Sega arcades are amazing. But COVID really did a number on them.

Its gonna be interesting to see the long term of effect of major Japanese developers moving away from the arcade gaming scene. Konami's invested far more in console (and to a lesser degree mobile) than Pachinko these days and one of the remaining pillars like Sega leaving it behind might very well render arcades as niche there as they are in the West.
