Which Royal Rumble spots are overdone and you'd be fine with never having to see again?
For me, it's tag team partners team up to eliminate someone, then while they celebrate, one turns on the other and tosses him over the top rope. The eliminated member looks angrily back at their partner, then they both laugh it off because "it's every man for himself!"

Popping in now for my usual “I’d love to see how this stuff would look without all the tropes, it’d be weird” post.

Someone hiding underneath the ring coming out later for either some comedy spot or to try and get the last one out. Feels like they've used that spot a lot in the last few years especially.

Kofi finding creative ways to avoid elimination went from impressive athleticism to just being downright silly (standing on a pancake).

Big Wrestler comes out "OH MAH GAWD THEY ARE GOING TO WIN HOW CAN ANYBODY THROW THEM OUT!!??" That worked once, for Yokozuna. Like 30 years ago. Y'all know Omas is going to get that spot and then get tossed by like 6 people ganging up on him. At least this spot is kinda fun. It's overdone but I don't want to see it go away.
Somebody spending half the match resting in the corner. If you can't book a wrestler to be somewhat active for the majority of the match, then don't book them to enter the match so damn early. It doesn't add drama. It makes everybody else in the ring look stupid for not picking on the exhausted asshole trying to take a nap in the corner. This spot needs to die unless there's a specific story reason for it.
Bonus overdone Rumble Spot: I feel like it's been about twenty years since the winner DIDN'T point at the sign immediately after winning. It's the most fake ass manufactured spot in the entire industry. I get why they do it. It's just so damn phony and cheap.

Definitely the "OH SNAP THAT GUY THAT WE ALL NOTICED HAS BEEN MISSING THE LAST 15 MINUTES IS SHOWING UP AT THE END NO WAY". It's an industry wide overused ending spot.

For all over the top matches every promotion does. Guy gets knocked through the ropes and just stays there the rest of the match until the end
You have 10 seconds to get back in, if not you're disqualified and eliminated

Arseing about on the apron. It was cool when I first saw hbk save himself but that was over 25 years ago. Guys like Ziggler can spend more time on the apron than in the ring.
If a wrestler consistently fails to knock an opponent off the apron after doing the hard part of getting them over the top rope then they just end up looking weak.

Someone who has been already eliminated instead of leaving, causes the elimination of someone else.

Guy gets knocked through the ropes and just stays there the rest of the match until the end You have 10 seconds to get back in, if not you're disqualified and eliminated Similarly, wrestler draws number whatever but doesn't actually enter the ring until several more entrants have come and gone. If you draw, say, #7 then you should have until the buzzer sounds for #8 to get in the ring or you're disqualified.

Someone who has been already eliminated instead of leaving, causes the elimination of someone else. Absolutely. This, along with non-entrants getting involved in eliminations, is single worst trope imo

Kofi finding creative ways to avoid elimination went from impressive athleticism to just being downright silly (standing on a pancake). To only get eliminated later of course.

Kofi finding creative ways to avoid elimination went from impressive athleticism to just being downright silly (standing on a pancake). That particular Kofi moment wasn't bad though, because the pancake itself wasn't the point. It was the ludicrous near 15 foot leap in the air Kofi did from the ground into the ring over Jinder. That was f***ing incredible, so I can forgive the pancake bit to set up that moment. The Xavier wheelbarrows him to the ring in 2019 though was a bit stupid, and its telling they've not done a Kofi Spot in the men's rumble since. Anyhow, count me as another who dislikes the "X hiding under the ring rushes in at the end to win". Even AEW have used that one now. It can f*** off.

I don't mind most Rumble tropes tbh, I think of them more as traditional spots.
But I definitely agree that "guy who the commentators thought was eliminated pops back up at the end, only to be eliminated anyway" spot needs to go away for a long time.
WWE have done that ending three times in the last 10 years (Del Rio/Santino, Rusev/Roman, Edge/Orton) and it's just total overkill.

Kofi's spots have run their course. Dude avoids elimination in miracle ways just to get eliminated seconds later almost every single time, and he's never actually won a Rumble, so in the end it doesn't even f***ing matter at all. People remember Shawn's single foot touch because he WON the Rumble... Kofi's getting close to Kane's record of most consecutive without a win, so the shit really isn't cool anymore lol

rolling out of the ring and then coming in at the end to try and win (and sometimes does especially in Battle Royales)
the rolling out of the ring in the first Women's Royal Rumble was so bad that at time there was NO ONE IN THE RING when there were like 15 people still legal.
---
the I'm not actually eliminated yet spot... I think they've gone to the well too often and there's not many more ways to make it work. they've done the walk on hands, the jump from the barrier, jump from the desk... etc.
and then they do things like well he's stepping on pancakes so he's not eliminated! one year for Kofi which was really terrible... and a massive stretch of disbelief because at that point maybe because you are wearing shoes it doesn't count as hitting the floor! Yeah the cheerleader vault into the ring was impressive as hell... but the setup to get there was so long and convoluted
that said the best one of them is of course Austin Theory who celebrated not getting eliminated by kipping up to his feet.

Specific to Dolph Ziggler: the skinning the cat spot. Dude looooves doing that spot. Must do it three or four times per Rumble/battle royal. Pack it in, Dolph.

"Giant/big person enters match" (aka "OHHHH NO/OOOH MY"). Almost a guarantee that most of your favorites in the ring are going to be gone very soon.
"Wrestler climbs up to the top rope but no one cares enough to throw them out". I learned this the hard way playing WWF Warzone in third grade lmao. Nope, WWE has to have their folks get their high risk manoovers in.
"Both members of jabroni tag team enter". It's hilarious in 2K where Fernando and Konnor are perennial Rumble contenders, but kinda frustrating in real life when twice the cannon fodder get in over promising/underpushed talent who could use the rub.
"THE POINT". Okay, it can totally work in certain circumstances, and may be awesome in others. At its worst, though, pointing to the Mania sign just seems like WWE micromanaging designed for a slow-motion final shot in a pre-match promotional video.
