I've lost count the number of times people have written off Jericho. Guarantee he'll reinvent himself at some point, & everyone will be singing his praises again.

This is the cycle of Jericho.
He comes back reinvented as a heel and people love him, he is loved so much that he turns face, and somewhere along the way face Jericho just isn't quite as cool or as good as heel Jericho and people get tired of the guy and he eventually leaves for a bit only to come back reinvented as a heel and people love him.
I do think the Jericho/MJF feud might be the last great Jericho feud, but I also wouldn't be surprised if he was back and one of the top 5 people in the company again in a year or two.

WWE got it right with Jericho have him come in for a short focused run then take a year or 2 off.Then come back focused with something new so he doesn’t overstay his welcome.AEW having him as a weekly character(most weeks twice weekly) like Sting is bafflingly dumb. Those guys should be special and them being on tv so often is the opposite of special.

I don't know if he's off the booze or something but he he looked much younger facially in that backstage promo last night.

Maybe Jericho should just go with what worked in the past with "IT" & "You Just Made The List" & "Mucilageous Pharisee" & "Stupid Idiot" & "Le Champion"
He's doing his best to get "GFY" & "Square Head" over, bless him, but it feels very very contrived. "The Influencer" may work. This constant reinvention is how you got all those gems before, but with this comes some real duds. He already has a vast prolific output, and he's not using it.
Just go with what stuck before.

If this means he gets a new theme so that we don’t have to wait for the crowd to finish singing it before the match/storyline can get started, then long overdue. It was fun the first 100 times but a chore now.
No chance Jericho gets cheered against Kingston so this makes sense, and his face character has run its course.

Jericho did what AEW needed him to do. Get the established and make the brand creditable at the start. AEW since that where able to get other names into the company that are younger to keep it going. Jericho going into a more part timer role is fine now. Since at the start star power was hard to come by and he was more needed than he is now in that Main event role. The inter Circle ran its course. Its time they do different things. It did its job with getting Sammy over. Santana and Ortiz need to be more focus in getting tag title matches I feel. Honestly not sure what to even do with Hager at this point.

In my heart I want to see a Jericho vs Sammy match before he goes, but in my head I don't want to saddle Sammy with carrying another useless old f*** through a feud like he had to with Matt Hardy.
