Not sure if anybody here have any input in this subject but as I google trying to get more info on it but it seems all google wants to show me is interviews themselves. So myself and a group of friends are in the process of starting up mainly a youtube channel but we have other stuff going on with it. Website and ext as well. So one of the things myself is wanting to do interview wrestlers. It got inspired back on Aug to really do it as I saw people doing it at the NWA show. Most of which where for there own youtube channels. However now I have the equipment to do it and with the group a camera man. I am more prepared to be able to do it. When I look at youtube videos of people who have done it. Now outside of guys like Chris Van Vliet who get one on one from hotel rooms and ext. Or Barstool who have a whole studio of course. Most as seem to get them during signings at Con events.
So my questions are if anybody here have insight.
How do I get permission to do them? Like do I contact the people who putting on the event to try and get a media pass and does that cost extra or what? Or do I just get in touch with said talent I want to talk to through like the booking agent emails most have in there socials who would be at the said event they would be at? Do I pay a little extra for the talents time or who does it work?
On a talent level, I have a couple leads on who I could possibly get. Just wanting to figure out how to get my foot in the door so to speak.

Now all I have interviewed is indie talent. But usually a week or so before the show I contact the person I want to interview. Usually sending them links to previous interviews I have done.
Matter of fact lined up an interview for the Natchez BIW event this upcoming saturday.
Usually I do the interviews hours before the doors open at my table. I use either the webcam built into my laptop or one of my tablets to film them.
Good luck, link the interviews on the forum once you do them.
That is one from last year. My buddy contacted Rey Fury a few weeks before the show. And Rey said he was happy to do one.
Now as you will see in the video my buddy, blue mask on the left, actually wrote down some questions. I on the other hand just ask stuff off the top of my head. But then most of the guys I interview I have known them for coming up on 10 years now.

My advice when it comes to interviewing people is to try and find their business contact email and email them ahead of time with what you are wanting to do. That way they are more prepared and less likely to blow you off if you ambush people before the show.

Thanks guys. I wasn't going to just show up to an event and doing it that way. I was figuring that I either had to contact someone from the person I want to talk to or if I needed to go through the company who is putting on the event or both. I will be more than happy to share them once the ball gets rolling but I wanted to make sure I am going the right way about it, being professional with it and not go about it as some crazy guy with a Mic. I did plan on having a notepad or something that had some questions/built points on what I wanted to ask or cover with the talent I was planning on interviewing. I figure I mostly do indy talent or maybe a legend here or there that is doing a Wrestle Con like event or something like that.
