So it was highlights from the 2000 rumble if the Hardy's and Dudley's table match and bikini contest with a new interview of Stone Cold by JR. I mean compared to the year before this kinda feels lame which is weird cause the WWE is still smoking hot and Halftime Heat was at the time ( I forget if something beat it) one of if not the highest watched match ever on cable.... So why the lackluster follow up?

I imagine it would've had to be another empty-arena or backstage brawl match, since the logistics of having a live event with a crowd during the Super Bowl (and timing everything right) would be extremely challenging. Maybe they just didn't feel like they had the right feud/concept to pull it off again the way they did with Rock-Mankind.

Last time they tried running a house show here was during the Super Bowl…it was canceled because of “logistics” and not at all because they sold f*** all for tickets. They might have managed 1000 people had it not been the Super Bowl, and I live in a shitty Canadian city where no one ever comes and nothing ever happens and they still couldn’t sell tickets.

Yes, I am aware it was pre-taped. There was no crowd.

They acted like they were showing the match on the Titantron as it was happening to the crowd at the Heat/Raw taping, but that was just created in post-production. In reality, they simply told the crowd that the match happened during the day and Mankind had won shortly before he and Rock came out to tape their segment for Raw.

My point is just that you can't actually do a live WWE show with fans during the Super Bowl.
