I know the Reigns title reign will never end and most are tired of it.
The opposite is true currently with the WWE title. There could be 2 more title changes by Wrestlemania which would mean 4 different champions in 4 months.
Is this good or bad in the end? The hot potatoing?

I haven't been happy about a title being hot potatoed since IC Title Era of the mid 10s with Ambrose, Owens, Ziggler, Harper, Ryder and Miz. Back then it was cool and each guy made it dope. It meant something.
Like, for as bad as dude is now Ryback was a good IC Champion and he made that belt look good because his opponents and those in that division then were dope.

If they were fun about it I wouldn't mind some hot potato-ing of the belts but title changes are like haphazard and obvious at the same time somehow. They're telegraphed the day of taking out the surprise, but the random whims of booking mean they happen just like whenever.

I'd rather have belts change every 2-3 PPV's than go 20+ in a row because they have Wrestlemania main events planned years in advance and want to tread water with a champ until then.

I always prefer too much over too little. I think somewhere between 2 to 6 months is kind of the ideal length for a title reign, but the WWE title could be changing hands every single week and I'd prefer that over a f***ing two year status quo.

I don't think Lashley should have ever lost the WWE title to begin with, TBH.

Hot potato-ing a world title only works in a concentrated and specific short burst with a strong story backbone behind it. WWE doesn't have a strong story backbone to anything.

I can see the following since Big E lost it. Big E Brock Lashley Brock Roman Drew All within 6 months That last name is more likely to be Edge at MitB. Dude won his first WWE Title by cashing in, on his return he wins the WWE Title by cashing in. And true to form, he then loses the title in short order at the next PPV.

The title really hasn't been hot potatoed at all though?
Big E. held it for like 4 months, Lashley held it for 6, Drew held it for 4 months and 8 months before that.
Brock and Orton both held it for just shy of a month each, and Brock only won it cause his scheduled match was canceled and for some reason they decided to give it to him instead of just giving it to Lashley or Seth in the first place.
Orton needed a win because Drew beat his ass six ways to Sunday in their feud... and it made absolutely no sense to continue the feud if he didn't get some victory (I mean it was a bit late in the story too but whatever the point still stands)
Miz got a thank you run for about a week since they clearly wanted Lashley vs. Drew to be at Mania but didn't want Drew to be the defending champion after basically winning a year before.
But yes.. all of this even though a lot of the story weren't great (especially as they didn't really have anything for Big E to do AS champ)... I would rank them far better than the Nothing Ever Changes Roman Reign.
If you want to talk Hot Potatoing the belt... look at the IC title in the 90's or the WCW title in the year 2000.
