Watching all the old stuff, I'll go with 1991.
A lot of unpredictability and chaos. Really solid batch of PPVS (with the exception of Survivor Series). My only complaint is that they dragged out the Slaughter-Hogan feud too long.

1997 is technically pre attitude era. If not counting that though.. I have a soft spot for both 1988 and 1995.

1994. The company was finally moving on without Hulk Hogan.

1994. The company was beginning to adjust again after a shaky couple of years. Then it all went downhill in 1995!

96/97 are my most nostalgic WWF years personally, but having watched a lot of stuff recently from 1991/92, I'm quite fond of this period too

1987. Peak of the Hulkamania era with WrestleMania III and all.
You also had Savage/Steamboat, Savage's face turn/the Megapowers form, Piper/Adonis, solid tag team division, Bammer and Warrior were coming, so was Rude, Ted DiBiase, first Survivor Series...
'86 mostly for nostalgia as that's the first year I started watching.

Fall of 1986 (around the time of the Championship Wrestling to Superstars change) through Mania 3. And then again a year later.

Fall of 1986 (around the time of the Championship Wrestling to Superstars change) through Mania 3. And then again a year later. Agreed. Look at the build to WM3. Hogan/ Andre, Piper/Adonis, savage/steamboat, bulldogs and Tito/Harry’ hart foundation and Davis, even Hercules and Billy Jack and a good story. From WM2-5. I think is the greatest period of storytelling I’ve ever seen.

When the Rock and Wrestling era started with Piper hating on MTV . Piper smashing that award over Albano's head, then War to Settle the Score, leading into WrestleMania was amazing

1987, 1986 and a soft spot for 1995, which I know a lot of people hate (and which definitely has its problems, especially in the first half of the year). Honorable mention to 1990.

1992 just because it was the year I really got into wrestling and Mania 8 was the first show I owned on VHS. Plus the roster was stacked.

1990 and 1995,1990 as I loved Warrior in his prime and 95 as I loved the gimmickery and got my first taste of joshi.

1992 just because it was the year I really got into wrestling and Mania 8 was the first show I owned on VHS. Plus the roster was stacked. Same year for me, I started looking at it just kinda casually in late 1991 but I think it was when my grandparents rented Rumble 1992 and Mania 8 that hooked me. Macho Man was the main guy as an 8 year old who drew me in, I didn’t dislike Hogan but he kinda felt like “the old guy” because of his balding and how Babe Ruthish he came off and Savage felt more like he had “kept up” going into the 1990s. Bret Hart, Boss Man, Roberts and Taker were other guys I got into, and Ric Flair in particular because he was a 1970s era older guy who ranted and raved like a crazy person and acted younger than he was.

I think it's '89 for me.
Megapowers begin to fray at RR. Megapowers split at SNME in one of the most memorable vignettes of all time. WM5 main event. Summerslam '89 was a great main event. Macho Man became Macho King.
I was a big Macho Man fan and this was pretty much the peak Macho Man year.

1990 or 92.
1992 had two of my favorites in Shawn and Bret main eventing at Survivor Series, and a great SummerSlam show.
1990 was the Warriors reign; year started off hot and then sputtered at the end.

I have the strongest nostalgia for 1993 and 1994, but they're obviously not the best years.
