Not going to post it as we’ve all seen it a hundred times but my answer to this is always Hello by Lionel Richie. Although I wouldn’t consider it great, it’s a perfectly pleasant ballad but it’s remembered for a terrible video and a clay head. Seriously, whoever thought this video was a good idea? “So he’s a Teacher. And he’s stalking one of the students. And she’s blind?” “Yep” “Go with it!” What on earth do you mean!

Metallica is my favorite band ever, but aside.from a couple standouts, most of their videos are terrible. Whiskey in the Jar could've been incredible had they done something that went along with the lyrics of the Irish folk song they were covering. Instead it was just them trashing a house. Don't forget how "edgy" it was because the party was a lesbian party in the late 90's.

First off, hell yes it's a great song.
And second, it's just such a weird concept. The video opens with crowd footage from a concert, okay fine, then smash cut to a random guy taking a sobriety test. His girlfriend then strolls across the street, as he's about to be arrested for a DUI, to see a Bryan Adams concert. She and Bryan Adams lock eyes, she leaves the venue, Bryan Adams bails on the concert, but can't leave the venue because it's snowing out. WHAT STORY IS THIS TELLING???
Much like "Rock Me Tonite" by Billy Squier, this one has the main performer cutting some downright horrible dance moves that, combined with the strange and totally out-of-place animation, makes me wonder how no one in the filming or editing process said to themselves, "Do we have a second take?"

I actually like: One Enter Sandman The Unforgiven (the first one) I Disappear King Nothing Until It Sleeps and Mama Said, Hero Of The Day, and Memory Remains are kinda ok. But when you consider they have like 30 videos that still isn't much.

Michael Jackson encounters an attractive girl on a dark city street and harasses her by dancing around and thrusting his groin at her. When she tries to escape, his friends block her path and force her back towards him. Everywhere she turns, this creepy guy is trying to dry hump her. Realizing she cant get away, she prepares herself to endure his perverted advances.
It's not so much a love story as it is a series of street crimes.

I wouldn't call it a particularly good song, but there was some Robbie Williams song that was inoffensive enough and the video started out in some roller disco. And then they started throwing bloody organs at each other for some reason and it was f***ing gross.

What are some songs that you like that have awful music videos? Styx's Too Much Time On My Hands qualifies: Makes them look like some comedy/novelty band. While other artists were able to pull off these type of videos later, they at least had better budgets. Never saw this video before, liked the song a lot to begin with I actually don't think this was a bad video, the band got to showcase some personality, the video matched the lyrics of the song and I got a few legit laughs. For some shit that came out in the 70s(/80s?) it's a pretty decent video

My go-to answer for this kind of discussion. I never liked this video dating as far back to when I was about 6 or 7. Why? Because of the boxing theme. If you listen to the lyrics, I get what they were going for, but it gets distracting when it gets to the boxing bits. Oddly enough, that's the only reason I remembered this video I have a new appreciation for this video seeing it post puberty

And in fairness it did have an internal logic - he was stripping in front of a room full of models ignoring him so he eventually stripped everything off down to his skeleton
