The last time WCW did a War Games Match on PPV was in 1998. Unlike previous years, rather than a traditional 4-on-4 or 5-on-5, we ended up with a 3 team match to determine the number one contender to face Goldberg for the World title. Also, rather than making your opponents submit or say "I Quit", pin falls are allowed in the bout. But the thing was that the person that pins or submits their respective opponent would qualify to not speak of their teammates. It was such a mess that the last two Fall Brawls didn't include War Games for a reason.
That being said, the nWo Civil War was at its peak between Hollywood and Wolfpac. The fact we've gotten six man tags on TV and a Battle Royal with Goldberg as the third well, but never a proper multi man tag match with a clean finish is somewhat surprising. What are you guys thoughts?

There was a Konnan/Scott Hall match that I really don't remember, so it can't have been important enough to justify the 3 vs 3 War Games. Likewise there was a Scott Steiner vs Rick Steiner match, so if they'd wanted to go with WCW vs Black & White nWo, they could've thrown those two into it.
However, I'm thinking there might not have been anyone around at the time who actually knew how to book a War Games match. Everyone's said Vince Russo had no idea how to use a match to tell a story, and Johnny Ace hadn't become the head road agent yet.

Generally speaking, I've always felt that was how the nWo angle should have ended, they fell to internal strife and infighting, after WCW fought them to a standstill. That way everybody looks good.
