Yeah, I'll just echo that Rocco Rock was 46-years-old in 1999. He was absolutely ancient by wrestling standards in those days.

In the grand tradition of this thread, it seems odd no one has pointed out Rocco Rock was 56 years old by the time they got to WWF.

I like how Rocco Rock's age keeps changing in this thread.
Anyways, no way. The Dudleyz we're far superior in every way to Public Enemy.

I mean, no for all the reasons people mentioned. If the 1995 versions of them came over and they stayed in shape and clean, they could've something like a more over version of the Headbangers and that's totally fine. But they were a shell of their former self in the late 90s (and they weren't starting with a lot).

To clarify for everybody, Rocco Rock was born in 1953. So he was 43 when wcw brought Public Enemy in. He was definitely passed his prime.

I don’t think there could have been sustained interest in 61 years young Rocko Rock given that he was only 4 years from collecting social security. But Vince at the time thought he could lure away the Baby Boomers from Night Court reruns by bringing in one of their peers.

You see, Rocco Rock was 73 year old conjoined twins and the one twin, let's say Rock, was incapable of carrying Rocco through a decent match, only softening the blow of the tables. Grunge, however, was every joke made by Ted DiBiase and Vince Mancini in i-Generation wrestling.

The jokes about Rocco's age aside, do we even mention how they wouldn't even call him "Rocco Rock" in the WWF and his name was actually "Flyboy Rocco" because even back then, Vince only wanted one Rock on the roster?

Rocco wouldn't have been doing much flying at 84 years old. But yeah, that name change was dumb, even if Public Enemy weren't long for the company.

Little did we all know that Rocco would finally get over 21 years later at the tender age of 86 playing the role of Zoe’s friend and Elmo’s rival on Sesame Street.
