AEW has only 4 PPVs a year, so it should be expected that the build-ups leading to the matches would be longer, however, other than a rare situation, build-ups leading to the PPV matches aren't that long. For example, currently no match is announced for Revolution, which is in 24 days, other the the ladder match which is a storyline negative match for a title shot and the 10 man tag match, which yes does have a decent sized story to it. I also expect MJF vs Punk rematch to also happen here, which also has a nice build to it, along with the Britt Baker vs Thunda Rosa title match. Other than that, no storyline for the tag titles, AEW title, TNT title or TBS title. Cole just randomly came out and is next in line, same with El Idolo. Don't know who will challenge for the tag titles. The Inner circle are having a tag match next week, so I doubt that will happen again at Revolution. Mox and Daniel Bryan might have a match, but again, just one interaction so far between them. Yeah, I understand that AEW does have more thought out storylines as compared to WWE, but they still lack the length or depth that would be liked. I think with only 4 PPVs, the storylines leading to the matches should be longer than a month. I love what they did with the MJF vs Punk match, it continued the story without letting it get old. And I think most stories should be like this, instead of the random, 3-4 weeks build to a match.

The match not yet being announced does not mean the match has had no build.

The match not yet being announced does not mean the match has had no build. As I mentioned the MJF vs Punk and the Britt Baker matches being examples of decent length of storytelling, I also agree with this. My issue isn't with the matches not being announced, that's fine with me. However, other than these 2 matches and the 2 that have been announced, which ones have a decent build to them?

I wouldn’t really call Cole confronting Hangman random when he spent all of last week saying he was going for the belt and then beat up Evil Uno on Rampage. That’s pretty clear build to a feud with Hangman.

I think the tag title would be more set up as House of Black vs. Lucha Bros. had Fenix's arm not gone wonky.
The TNT Title rarely seems like it has long thought out plans, more of a challenger of the moment thing. That would work for it, if they weren't doing that with the world title though and the TBS Title seems like it is a second to Jade’s streak.
I guess I’m saying I sort of agree. I think think there is build there outside the World title but it could be better done.
Edit: I forgot JE were champs, ugh guess the tag titles are in the challenger of the moment booking too.

I think we're getting Malachai Black vs Pentagon Dark. And the tag titles will be Santana-Ortiz vs Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus. The feuding with Billy Gunn's Silly Sons The Ass Boys feels like a deliberate red herring and we're about to see the streams cross following the Inner Circle explodes match.
