I’ve been watching a lot of mid 90s WCW, and I wish the Triangle Tag Match caught on. AEW has so many teams it could be a staple. You have three teams, create drama in title matches with the champs trying to stay in the ring.
What’s a match type you wish popped up more? Probably the Lion’s Den?

Dog collar matches can be a lot of fun with the right people in them and the right feud for it. Loved Cody versus Brodie Lee in one, but I bet it'd be pretty weak if the feud was utterly heatless.
I feel like "___ On A Pole" matches got a bad rap from Russo overusing the concept, but they are fine from time to time, especially if it makes some sense, like (admittedly not a good match, but good reason to use it) Bossman vs Nailz.

Tag-team steel cage - escape only. There's so much you could do with the both members of the team have to be outside at the same time stipulation but Money Inc Vs Steiner's remains the only notable example I'm aware of that makes good use of those rules.

It's half irony and half nostalgia for the bizarre, but I feel like there should be at least one more Concrete Crypt Match.

Cage matches that aren't 'escape' matches. It should be a feud ender, set up to keep out interference. Just two guys with a grudge.

I'm not sure if the __ on a pole really has that much variance... every single one i've seen gets booked the same... of dudes basically sprinting up the turnbuckle after like every move... I think a Ladder match can basically do everything the on a pole matches do but like way better... speaking of I would like to see a lot more non-car crash Ladder Matches where it's a match that ladders happen to be around instead of like all of the big spots using the ladders.

I mostly agree, I was just thinking in terms of "matches they'd be cool with having the midcarders do", since they usually don't break out the ladders for people unless they're a bit more "figured in", if that makes sense. Especially if there's a prop in play, like the nightstick, or singapore cane shots, etc.

Crybaby match. Hogpen match. King of the road. Coal miners Glove match Monster truck sumo match.
Serious mention, I'd like to see Lethal Lottery concept brought back.

I really enjoyed the Lion's Den but I guess you could say that it has been replaced by the Fight Pit.

I really miss Survivor Series matches that were built on heels vs. faces and existing feuds, rather than "brand supremacy."
I'll also never get tired of last-man-standing matches. Those are almost always a lot of fun.

Quite frankly, every match should be a Punjabi Prison match. Yes, even the Rumble.

Know what, I'll say it, Coal Miner's Glove match but build it up as a particularly loaded weapon, I think it can be done right, especially for a Big Show type with a convincing punch finisher.

I loved the Scramble matches. It's really strange that they gave up on that concept immediately. I wouldn't do one for a Wrestlemania world title match or anything but it would've been fun to do once a year or so on some B PPV or even for a big TV main event.

I'm honestly kind of surprised they've never had Roman do a Superman punch with one to beat somebody like Braun.
