I’m terrible now, but this was so much fun. Pulled my 360 into the house to rock out on guitar, I think I’m gonna set up a full blown party in the future. Anyone else still love this game?

Honestly, I got into Rocksmith, purely due to the fact I was having hardcore cravings for Rock Band/Guitar Hero... and figured I might as well play on a real guitar instead.
However, in the months since... I've definitely picked up Rock Band 4 on PS4, and downloaded Clone Hero on PC. There's just something about those games that hits right.

Any of those guitar games are fun as all hell. They just shouldn't have started oversaturating the market with them until people got burned out.
So what's the best game of this format/has the best songs for PS4?

I’d say RB2/Guitar Hero 4 was about the pinnacle for that, although the Beatles one is really f***ing good As for one on PS4? I heard Rock Band 4 was good, but I’m an XBox guy and the adaptor to make my instruments work is like $500 now so I haven’t played it

I played only a few of these games when they came out, and I've had the itch again for a while now. Haven't had luck finding anything locally on buy & sell sites or Kijiji.

Did you unlock superstardom? Be careful you don’t won’t to get hooked on heroin hero. I think heroin is the only drug I wasn’t doing during my peak Rock Band days. If you’re gonna play Rock Band for 30+ hours straight, you’ve probably made questionable life decisions. (Also, yes I totally get the Heroin Hero reference)

I almost got an Xbox One instead of a PS4 because Rock Band 4 was backwards compatible with all my RB1-3 DLC.
Sadly, my 360 guitar's seen better days, and the license to export Rock Band 3's songs to RB4 expired about a year ago.

There were like 600 Guitar Heroes... and like... 6 Rock Bands. Rock Band 4 is good but... of course if you don't have the instruments or adapter for the old instruments it's gonna cost a lot to play now. Harmonix still updates the Rock Band Store too.

So are even the RB4 instruments hard to find these days? That sucks.
Shame the fad is mostly dead now since you can't even really find the crappy third party instruments these days.

Not sure on the instruments themselves, but the Legacy Adaptor to make the 360 instruments work on XBox One goes for $400-500 Canadian now. Really, really regret saying $100 for the game/adaptor bundle was too much money. And I believe that Harmonix/Mad Catz have confirmed recently there are no current plans to make new ones

Guess I'm holding on to my 360 for the foreseeable future and dealing with a kinda wonky guitar even if I do eventually get an Xbone or Series S/X.
