TTG is still a thing?
(I assumed not as I don't hear as much complaining about it...)

I'm actually more surprised to see DC Superhero Girls is still a thing.

I feel like one day we're going to get the full story about what happened with the AT&T merger and how because of how long it took, how much got wrecked across the company, especially in animation. Like, it felt like very few shows got out alive in all that.

I kind of feel like I need to just stop caring about shows on Cartoon Network because it seems like any time I do get invested in one it either turns to shit (Steven Universe) or they promptly do everything they can to f*** it (OK KO and Infinity Train). ... Though honestly they did a lot to f*** Steven Universe as well. Maybe the whole seasons of literally nothing happening all while Steven got more and more unlikable would've been more tolerable if the show were releasing on any sort of decent schedule.

I mean, OK KO was one of those victims. The reason stuff was so delayed was because they were waiting to hear back about budgeting, who were waiting to hear back from the network, who were waiting to hear back from corporate, who were waiting for the sale to be approved and they were waiting for...that dude that was in charge at the time.

The reason stuff was so delayed was because they were waiting to hear back about budgeting, who were waiting to hear back from the network, who were waiting to hear back from corporate, who were waiting for the sale to be approved and they were waiting for...that dude that was in charge at the time. That seems especially headtilting since I can't imagine the budget for OK KO was very high to start with given how basic and loose its animation style was. That said I do think it went out a lot more gracefully than a lot of shows in similar positions would have. The Professor Venomous / Shadowy Figure / Laserblast storyline had kind of been getting long in the tooth for awhile as it was and the series finale was fantastic so I don't think there's a lot to really regret with the show even if I do think there was still more in the tank for it. Better than Infinity Train going out on a breather season that felt significantly cheaper and less eventful than the ones that came before it and was a prequel that did nothing to advance any of the broader narratives, all while practically beating you over the head with, "We wanted to make them gay but the network wouldn't let us."
