Flair is close. But I'm looking for money spent on thing that weren't either directly wrestling related or partying related. Things like antiques or classical literature manuscripts. Okay, so I'm not sure if this qualifies because all stories I've heard, he's been wise with his money, but Lawler. He's got an original batmobile plus I think an original one of The Munsters rat rods. Plus who knows what else comics wise in his collection. I mean just look at this shit

It's honestly mind boggling how Flair ended up like he did. He's just flat out implulsive and stupid and probably somebody that loses his head once he gets a bit of alcohol in him. How on earth do you end up paying alimony to FOUR ex wives. I mean that's willfully stupid.
Other than wrestling, everything he does or tries goes to shit. He can't plan, think, or act like a responsible adult.

I think Neidhart blew through a lot of his cash. That’s when Stu would call Vince up looking for work for him. Bret Hart had a story about how Neidhart got a six-figure legal settlement in the late eighties or early nineties, and proceeded to spend all of it on a motorbike and cocaine. As you do.

Prince Devitt wasn't frugal. He was Fergal.

People told Big Show to go chopping malls. He misunderstood and got addicted.

Batista somehow almost went broke during that period after he stopped wrestling in 2010 and before Guardians of the Galaxy and his 2014 return. I don't know exactly how. He must have earned millions. He was a top star for 5 years. He could've been set for life. Bad investments I guess. Cena had (or has?) a big car collection. He showed it off in one of his bio-docs years ago. He was also big into sports memorabilia. I remember Meltzer telling a story about him at a sports convention years ago and he was having so much fun going round buying game used bats and helmets like a kid in a candy store, shelling out thousands and even buying stuff for fans. The Miz and Maryse can't be afraid of spending money. They bought a mansion for over $6m a few years ago and they recently put it up for sale for almost double that. Didnt Batista get divorced? That would be a big money drain. Also I believe he liked living the high life. So if he kept up the spending when he had little income it goes quick. So, Big Dave learned the wrong lessons from Flair.

While mentioning Flair you also gotta say Dusty too. He blew alot of money trying to keep up with Flair. Him being broke was the reason he returned to the ring in 2000

So, Big Dave learned the wrong lessons from Flair. At least I have never heard of him abusing drugs or alcohol. His big vice is lunchboxes.

Andre makes sense though. He knew he wasn't going to need to save for a retirement because he wasn't going to live very long. Some of these other guys though it's just sad watching them spend twice as much as they make and knowing they're going to have to keep wrestling until they literally die just to get by.

I recall whispers over the years that The Undertaker kept wrestling because he basically had too.

I recall whispers over the years that The Undertaker kept wrestling because he basically had too. I can buy it, given he got divorced twice, and I am pretty sure he had kids with the first wife, so child support, too. Given he got divorced in like, what, 1999? That'd mean the alimony and child support, if so, would have likely been quite high since they'd base it on his earnings at the time.

What I remember from Batista's Talk is Jericho episode he really had no idea how hard it was to roles in Hollywood. He thought it would be easy since he was a big star but he was shocked at how even getting parts as minor characters was difficult (Jericho even mentions he had the same issue as he tried to get into acting but Hollywood didn't care that he was a wrestler or about Fozzy)

His last name was Flair, not Frugal, and his line wasn't "Carpoolin', coach-flyin' person living within reason! Woooo!"

Also he’s been shilling random stuff off Instagram with his wife like they’re some kind of fusion between mlm guys and influencers

I know he’s a good guy, and I remmeber when Titus O’niel first showed up and there was a video of him and Darren going suit shopping and Titus kept going on about how many suits he had and how he loved buying a lot of fancy suits and I thought “wow that sounds sounds wildly irresponsible for a guy so low in the company”.
I mean, he also spends a lot of money giving to the homeless and children, I can’t say his hearts in the wrong place, so hopefully he has a lot saved up and knows what he’s doing

Bret Hart had a story about how Neidhart got a six-figure legal settlement in the late eighties or early nineties, and proceeded to spend all of it on a motorbike and cocaine. As you do. Also, Vince bankrolled the trial. So most of what he spent was money he meant to pay back Vince. He must have paid it back at some point because I know the ONE thing won’t tolerate is stealing from him.
