It seems like a smart move on WWE's part to sell tickets as a packaged deal. Honestly, who would want to pay money to attend the go home WrestleMania Smackdown on its own when it will most likely be WrestleMania Kickoff quality matches, including an Andre Battle Royal, along with Roman and the other top guys just cutting promos.
I am curiously to know how they will handle the configuration for the Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame starts at 10:30, which gets the production staff 30 minutes to handle any set changes after Smackdown goes off the air. In the past, besides last year, the talent always occupies seats in the immediate rows, followed by the paid fans. They can't do that with a back to back taping, since the fans are occupying the same seats for both shows. My guess is they will either go with the 2019 configuration with the ring being the stage. Since the area below the titantron is so wide, they might set up seating for the talent there. Another possibility is that the stage will be set up directly below the titantron, like they used to do with the Slammys. In that case, they may forsake having the talent be part of the audience.

They should use the opportunity to induct the Smackdown fist.

They should use the opportunity to induct the Smackdown fist. I’ve only been to one Smackdown taping in my life, but it was during the first era. That set was the best

They should get rid of the NXT Takeover before Wrestlemania and have it absorbed into this Smackdown. Have Ziggler go after the NXT title and put the Andre the Giant Battle Royal and Women's Battle Royals on there with a mix of WWE and NXT stars.
Or have Heath Slater challenge all the Hall of Famers to matches.
