Before the steak was broken and shortly after, people wanted taker to keep the streak forever. Looking back 8 years later they made the right choice. While Brock is overbearing at times he did become a much bigger star and a good final boss character. I say Brock def made Drew and he reheated Rollins. Taker on the other hand should of had his second mania loss to Cena and then called it a career

Yes. Records are made to be broken, it had to end eventually before The Undertaker could no longer go, and looking back, 2014 was exactly the right time before 'Taker, who had aged like fine wine, turned into vinegar.
It was what happened afterwards that WWE f***ed up by not booking a Cena/Taker match that wasn't a joke, and of course not booking The Deadman in a match with Sting.

You can't predict the future, so there was no way to prepare for this, but I would have liked to see a world where McIntyre could have ended the streak at WM 35.

Yes, it had to go at some point, and in retrospect, Taker's in-ring ability started to fall apart after 2014.

Yes.
Gave Brock more of a destroyer and unstoppable beast feel, plus he needed a big win after the previous year or so. Also, he was perfect to break it because he's a character who could take that pressure. That's not gonna bog down his character.

I think the streak should've been broken, but Brock's breaking it also felt like it was the beginning of the misery booking era of WWE. I think it would've been more meaningful if a full-time member of the roster broke it.

I get it, but I would have kept it intact.

I hated it at the time, but Brock has stuck around much longer than I would have predicted back then. It took him to a different level, so I will say yes they got it right.

Should have been ended by Orton at Wrestlemania 21

It had to be broken eventually. The idea that it stays intact is like having a championship that never gets dropped. You have to pass the torch one day.

Somebody else should've broke it.
Lesnar and the WAY he won was just the wrong call.
We watched Taker get up after like, 30 chairshots from HHH and yet... ONE F5 does the trick?
Nah.
I would've probably used it to turn Cena heel.

Yeah, Taker was done, and honestly their plan to use it to push Reigns wasn't a bad one in theory, they just f***ed it all up in typical WWE practice.

Its mind boggling to me they didn't see Bray Wyatt as someone that could have taken his place as the supernatural force of WWE.

Absolutely. Within two years of that natch, Taker was physically completely done.
But eight years later Brock is still an unstoppable beast and the new final boss of the wwe and looks set to continue on for a few more years.
Brock was 2-2 after his first year back. After he beat Taker he was unstoppable again.
Plus what a moment it was

Yes. It’s was a truly shocking moment, like you couldn’t believe what you were seeing. There isn’t a lot of those moments.

Yeah, it was the right call. Brock’s run was definitely Rocky up to that point and that basically course corrected it
