I just find the thought of someone getting fined for blading in what's presented as a real fight hilarious. It wasn't a kayfabe fine. Him and Jericho both were legit fined for blading during a match. If I remember correctly, Batista paid Jericho's fine because he was the one who wanted to get blood during the match. |

Yeah, it was a few months after they went hard PG, almost borderline G, and they'd made a huge fuss about it to the media. It didn't help matters that it happened on free TV. |

Wasn't it the title match in the cage where Jericho won by pulling a metal ring from the cage, using it like a brass knuckle, and hitting Batista with it in order to win the match? In which case, I get why Batista wanted blood, particularly since the idea was to put the title on Jericho without pinning Batista. It protects him more if he's busted open to sell how are the ring shot was, and that's why he couldn't get back up to stop Jericho from exiting the cage.

I think Dean Malenko (the agent for the match) was also fined and Big Dave paid that too.
FTR, Kayfabe fining someone for blading would in itself be kayfabe breaking.
