But it just blew my mind realizing the current WWE title has been around as long as the spinner title. Growing up it felt like the spinner was around for like 20 years.

As goofy as the spinner belt was, I'd still take it over the WWE and Universal Titles.

Pretty nuts how Punk, Edge, Batista, and Jeff among others had to hold that goofy ass title as champion.

There was nothing funnier than watching Randy Orton's brooding ass slowly sauntering to the ring, trying to look as menacing as possible, all while draped with a toy over his shoulder.

As goofy as the spinner belt was, I'd still take it over the WWE and Universal Titles. the current giant belt buckle designs for the titles are f***ing wretched and have been since they debuted. After the logo stopped spinning the old belt was still super gaudy but it wasn't bad for a title... (things like Mon- Night and Champ not withstanding)

Look, I get not liking the design of the belts, that's fine (I am always semi-bitter about the spinner replacing the Undisputed...now THAT was a belt that had too short a lifespan. Even prefer it to the Attitude Era one).
But to call them "toys"...seems a bit off to me. I've never seen toys have that many diamonds and other gems on them.
Though them having Velcro straps nowadays doesn't help in that regard.

I should know, being a kid who bought a world heavyweight title belt in my 20's. Some are just clearly more toyetic than the others, what with their exciting spinning action accessory.

Catering to kids with replicas I understand (though when I was starting watching all they sold were those foam ones that really looked cheap...and they never did an official Winged Eagle one, using the prior design). But in terms of materials, weight, and all that, they're more props like used in a movie or TV show. Toys it would be much cheaper materials for kid enjoyment. I mean, I've seen people say the Million Dollar Championship looks like a toy, when that thing was probably enough to pay for a few months house payment.

And btw, legit, your personal perception of time does go by faster the older you get.
Won't go into the technospeak, but it's very much a thing and experienced by pretty much everyone to various degrees.

Your quarrel is with people's perception of value, really. Gold is a very valuable metal, and I think it looks like shit. I agree that the million dollar belt - actually, I believe, worth 65k - looked like cheap shit. I hate how gold and diamonds look, and 'being expensive' doesn't actually make something look expensive, hence why so many people complain about high fashion shows all being plain white t-shirts with an expensive logo in the neck label.

Idc what people say, the spinner belt looks better and better when you look at how they basically stopped giving a f*** about belt designs and made the titles look the damn same. How boring.
