Anyone else have movies and TV shows they would love to have available on DVD or streaming services even if it means it is of lesser quality since it is not profitable for the rights owners to have it transfered into modern HD quality?
You would think there was a very large market out there for such things.

You mean, shows that aren't available because whoever owns the rights doesn't want to invest in upgrading it for higher-quality media players?
Isn't that what streaming is for?

Box office bombs.

While available on DVD, I would kill for Homicide Life On The Street to be available on streaming.
And what about the bizarre Canadian Scifi show LEXX? Is that available anywhere?

I was just about to ask, aren't some distributors still putting out manufactured-on-demand DVDs and Blu-rays of lesser-known stuff that normally wouldn't attract very big audiences?

A few years ago I bought the complete series on DVD at Wal Mart. The previous DVD releases were big bulky packs without the 4 TV movies that comprised the first season. The new one was a compact package that included the first season.
