The message I’m getting from this is, if we want the games to have 100% accurate rosters, only put like 10 people in them.

Does WWE All Stars count (if you ignore the "legends", it's pretty much the 2011 roster)?

Does WWE All Stars count (if you ignore the "legends", it's pretty much the 2011 roster)? Just looked and it's so close, but then they included modern Jericho (not a classic version) as DLC in July 2011 after he'd already left the company in September 2010. It's up to you whether you want to treat Jericho as a legend character, but I personally wouldn't as it's not a classic version of Jericho.

WWE 12: Nov 2011: Chavo left in June. Maryse released in October. Kozlov fired in the summer.
WWE 13: Oct 2012: Jericho was on hiatus since August, someone find out if this man was still under contract! Aside from that, looks like Chazraps is completely right, I can't find a single discrepancy, which is helped by most the roster being legends characters.

Can confirm Jericho *was* still definitely under contract.

WWE 2K14: Oct 2013: Jericho on hiatus again, may or may not be under contract. If he was still under contract, this one's intact.
2K15: PS3/360 versions released first, Oct 2014: Alberto has three versions, but got fired in August. Batista left in the spring with his epic sarcastic wave. Punk was released from his contract in June (but still got two versions).
2K16: Oct 2015: Layla retired in July.
2K17: Oct 2016: Alberto left in September. Dudleys left in August. Cody left in May.
2K18: Oct 2017: Can't see a single talent released before the game came out. I think this is intact but the roster's so massive.
2K19: Oct 2018: Jericho had three versions but last appeared in April and was already appearing in NJPW before that.
2K20: Oct 2019: I think this one was released intact too.
Battlegrounds: Sep 2020: Oh boy, pandemic era. AOP released a fortnight ago. Curtis Axel, Erick Rowan, Good Brothers released in April.
2K22: Mar 2022: This is gonna suck. I'm not giving dates.
Wolfe Ariya Daivari Strowman Danny Burch Billie Kay Ember Fandango Metalik Swerve Jeff Hardy Morrison Gargano Kalisto Kross Keith Lee KOR Lana Lince Mia Yim/Reckoning Mickie Murphy Nia Oney Lorcan Peyton Samoa Joe Scarlett Slapjack Tegan Kendrick Thatcher Tucker Breeze Regal
That's a disgusting amount of talent listed.
