What are the most successful free agent signings in wrestling? I’ll put Punk up there Forsure, maybe the best of all time considering a lot of people thought he would never wrestle again. Hogan in WCW considering the nwo.

IMO Hogan to WCW will always be ahead of Punk to AEW but yeah those 2 are huge for the shot of adrenaline it gave to each company. Angle to TNA was pretty exciting at the beginning as well. I wasn't as invested in Christian's debut in TNA because he has unfortunately always been treated like the Jannetty even though I prefer him in the ring to Edge.

Eh I guess Punks debut was more special to me because I was old enough to grasp it. I was only 4 when the nwo started up, (but watching wcw on the network, all of it is dope)

Just as important as Hogan was when Hall and Nash showed up as rogue free agents.
For more traditional free agent signings where they were acknowledged as newly signed talents, Sting, Christian Cage, and especially Kurt Angle were the three big signings during the early Spike TV days that gave TNA a massive credibility boost. Christian being the first guy to actively choose a TNA deal over resigning with WWE was a big moment.
