Freeman's sweepstakes seems to be down to The Dodgers and The Blue Jays
Kris Bryant's seems to be down to The Phillies and... The Rockies, for some reason.

I don't see how Bryant passes up chance to play with Harper unless Rockies throw the big bag at him I hate both options for Freeman. That Blue Jays offense will be beyond sick with him so I expect Dodgers to get him since a ton of stars have seems to have worn that uniform at least once over the last 5 years

Rizzo signed for much cheaper than the Cubs offered, Javy also signed for the tigers on a cheaper deal than the Cubs offered, that front office and the core guys must have some serious bad blood if all of them turned down bigger money to go play somewhere else.
As for Bryant, part of me feels he wants to go for the home run record and figured Coors is the best place for him to accomplish that. Be interesting to see if he signs for cheaper than the Cubs offered too.
Cubs talking to Schwarber about possibly coming back, and Cubs also all in on Seiya Suzuki too.

The Phillies offer way more upside and he adds to an already good lineup of power bats. If Colorado still had Arenado and even Trevor Story? I feel like it'd be different. I know money can talk but it sounds like Colorado is just trying to drive up the price or keep fans interested I'd rather Freeman go to Toronto so we see him less, and I hate the Yankees so it would be zero skin off my nose But it's up to Freeman, reportedly he didn't want to go to New York, he has a dual citizenship for Canada... guess we'll see.

Legitimately glad the Giants completely ignored Bryant once FA hit. I wouldn’t have paid him anything near star level money to be an almost-All Star at best these days. Disappointing bat and terrible defensively at every position once he got to the Giants.

Citizen's Bank is an extremely hitter friendly park, if it came down to that I really don't see Bryant taking the Rockies offer lol

Disappointing bat and terrible defensively at every position once he got to the Giants. Might've just been the change of scenery but Bryant's only 30, and his multiple position play is what the Phillies really want I see him potentially playing third base and them still being in on one of Schwarber and Castellanos for Left.

They might have a really good sales pitch in Colorado and obviously money talks but I think he goes to Philly as if Harper wants him, they will open up the checkbooks

Giants are basically playing with house money They aren't f***ing up their pockets, minor league development is not f***ed over by the good season last year and they keep themselves alive for trades that can net them talent If Suzuki comes and turns out to be marvelous, even better for them

Fans are really done with the cheap BS I still think even if they get Bryant they're still in on Schwarber or Castellanos too, and potentially still back end starting pitching. They really need to make sure they don't fall into that pit they did last year with pitching depth, the pen signings are good but yeah, there are reports Suarez might be late because of the lockout delaying his visa, Wheeler had shoulder soreness in December and while he's good now he also had a late start, and Eflin had offseason surgery so it's unknown if he might be ready either. Safe to say once they figure out the big splash signings, they need some cheaper depth ideas lol

Freeman satisfies that in spades. If he goes to Toronto, the Yankees have to pivot toward getting some front-line pitching. Cole without the spider tack and Severino as the #2 coming off years of injury just isn't going to cut it.

Where the f*** the Cubs come from to get Suzuki? 5/70 sounds great too. I’m pissed at the Giants rn. Rodon is nice, but the offensive side is going to be a mess. Crawford will regress, Posey retired, Bryant gone. Last season was already a major fluke, so just sitting back doing next to nothing is asking for trouble. Sub-500 / 3rd place

Phillies got Schwarber for 20 Mil a year at 4 years, which I think is a steal
Now let's see if they can still swing Bryant. It really helps the Phils that Colorado is the only other option here. Maybe this is finally the year they forget the Luxury Tax to try and make that big push, but we'll see, cause I think they're still in on Bryant with Harper pushing.

Matt Chapman traded to Blue Jays
One would think that takes them out of Freeman sweepstakes

Zach Greinke is going back to the Royals Sounds like a retirement tour. Tho feel good for both sides and assuming KC is out of it as everyone expects, he will get another chance to get a ring if he decides to be traded

KB to the Rockies, 7:182
I’d have rather kept the much better player in Nolan Arenado, but what do I know?
