So what was every one's thoughts on these series of backstage segments throughout the night? I think this actually might have topped Toxic Attractions last ongoing backstage through the night adventure with the Kay Lee Ray one a few months ago as far as just zaniness and being illogical goes.
First we see Cora in a backstage segment where she has somehow gotten possession of all of Toxic Attraction's titles. How she got possession of them we have no idea but I guess we're just supposed to assume she's very stealthy and/or Toxic Attraction don't care about their championships and just leave them laying around.
After some minor bickering with the Sleepy Schitzo's Mandy and the girls decide to split up Scooby Doo style to find Cora and their titles. At this point it was obvious where it was going in that we were going to get backstage segments with Cora foiling them all one by one before saving Mandy for last.
Jacy "The Other One" Jane is not surprisingly the first to picked off in a pretty straight forward segment where Cora uses her tag belt to bait her into a cage and then lock it.
Gigi Dolin is the next to be trapped in a much more goofy scene that looked like something that would belong more in a Loony Toons cartoon where this time Cora places her belt in a dumpster and then traps her inside it using a forklift. Cora then jumps on the dumpster and taunts her like a little kid while Gigi shouts uninspired idle threats from within the dumpster.
So despite the goofiness I could at least kind of see where they were going with it at this point. Cora traps the two minions so they can't help Mandy whom Cora then can beat the crap out of as revenge for masterminding the attack last week that injured her friend Raquel Gonzalez and at the time force her into giving her a NXT title match.
Instead though Cora for some reason decides that instead she wants to steal Mandy's Range Rover and presumably tag it later. This made no sense for two reasons. What did Cora hope to accomplish from doing this? And secondly how was she expecting to drive the car without any keys? Anyways her plan is foiled as when Cora is adjusting the rear view mirror Mandy appears in the mirror like in a scene out of a horror movie and proceeds to beat her ass. What Mandy was doing in the back seat is anyone's guess. I guess either she somehow knew that Cora was randomly going to try to steal her car or she just decided that she needed a nap. Mandy then spray paints her back but not with like a TA like the NWO would do but just with nothing. I know it was supposed to be a tribute to Scott Hall but at least do it right.
Jacy and Gigi then appear as I guess Mandy freed both of them and just watch as their fearless leader beats up the Cora, the face in the feud, straight up without needing any assistance. Mandy the dastardly heel then just gives Cora what she wanted. A title shot. So Cora went through all the trouble of stealing the belts and setting up Home Alone style traps which then resulted in her just getting her ass kicked at the end of the day when she could've accomplished the same thing by simply asking. I'm tired of authority figures as much as the next guy but this show is kind of a good illustration of why you kind of need them because heel champions (Mandy isn't the only one as Dolph, Carmelo, and Imperium are other examples of this) just being to the faces "oh you want a title shot well ok sure then I'll you there" isn't like very heelish.
