Now what is the Easter movie? The obvious answer is the feel good hit of 2004, The Passion of the Christ. I have two distinct memories of watching that FIL in the theater. The first was that my Latin was good enough to follow the line in Latin without reading the captions. I was proud of that. The second was that there was a woman in the row behind me who must have needed an IV to deal with the dehydration she clearly went through. She started uncontrollably crying the instant the title showed on the screen and never let up by the time we all left. In retrospect, I should have expected some people to react that way considering where I live, but still.

It sounds much safer to show "Star Trek 3" and "Critters 2" in elementary school before Easter than "The Passion of the Christ". "Braindead" would be a safer option.

What about The Last Temptation of Christ then? I’d love to watch heads explode at the PTO meetings.
