One of those battle royals Cena and Michaels defended the tag titles in after Mania 23 (for real why the hell did they do two of those just to have Michaels turn on Cena anyway? Why not do that the first time?) had one of the teams be Miz and Johnny Nitro.

Would Beer Money count. They teamed, split, James Storm went onto being a fighting, working class redneck and Bobby Roode ditched the money gimmick to become the leader of the selfish generation and then reformed a few years later.

Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas.
They went from Kurt Angle’s lackeys to quickly showing how talented they were. Then they broke up and tried to push Shelton as a singles star. I could be getting the timeline mixed up but I think Shelton had that heel gimmick he came out with a heavyset woman portraying his mother. Meanwhile Haas had a halfhearted gimmick of imitating people, but was otherwise lost in the shuffle. Then Haas randomly defended Benjamin on some show and the two reunited. I don’t think the reunited team lasted long in WWE, but they did team up again elsewhere.

Sting and Warrior teaming up again on that Nitro technically counts, as does Ed Leslie being Hogan's partner early in their careers before reuniting as the Mega Maniacs. Beefcake also then followed Hogan to WCW, turned on him, became a Butcher, than a Man with No Name, then a Zodiac while feuding with Hogan and friends the whole time. Then he became a Booty Man and became Hogan's friend again. A few months later, Hogan became Hollywood Hogan and the Booty Man tried to join up with him, but was beaten up. Then he came back like a year later as the Disciple. Hogan should've gotten a restraining order protecting him from this lunatic who changes identities all the time.

Barbarian and Haku in WWF.
Barbarian and Meng as Faces of Fear in WCW.
Yeah, Meng and Haku were the same character, but Meng was used so differently in WCW that he might as well have been a different character.

Boris Zhukov was on Sgt. Slaughter's 1990 Survivor Series team 8 years after he had teamed with him as Pvt. Jim Nelson.

Tex Slazenger and Shanghai Pierce in WCW later reuniting in the WWF as the Godwinns. Came in here to say these. Another is the Quebecers/Amazing French Canadians. They actually had a mini-feud in Montreal after they lost the belts to the Headshrinkers, and Jacques retired while Pierre came back in the pirate gimmick. A year later, they were back together in WCW.

Primo and Epico teamed first under their own names (with Rosa Mendes), then teamed wearing masks as Los Matadores (with El Torito), then finally teamed as the Shining Stars.
