Edge came through my line at the supermarket when I was working at one during school and outside of checking his credit card, just took him through the line like anyone else, same for several football players. Engage in basic customer service small talk, but that's about it.
Years later, I nearly did run right into him on accident in the mall during the crazy holiday seasons when malls were packed to the gills, doubt he recognized me lol

Honestly, as glad as I am that you gave him his peace, I'm just as glad that you seemed to have a pleasant experience.
Scott Steiner the performer entertains me, but I can't say the same to Scott Steiner the person. He comes off like the kind of person who would be a dick to waitstaff, so it's good to see that's not the case, and that he tipped well.

I heard a story from a guy who drove him from an autograph signing to the airport and said he was nice but when the guy brought up Ric Flair, not knowing the history, Scott went ballistic. Not on the guy, just on his hatred of Flair. He seems a little more quiet in the last few years, or at least it seems like that.

I served Albert/A-Train etc when I worked concessions at a movie theater. This had to be around 03-ish. TV does no justice to how huge he is. It was quiet but I still didn't let on I knew who he was until he was leaving after his movie. When he was walking by to leave, I just quietly said "Have a good day. Huge fan, BTW" He stopped. Said thanks, grabbed a paper towel out of the holder scrawled an autograph, gave me a fist bump and walked out When he came up to order you shoulda been like: "Sorry we don't have Prince Albert in a can" because then you woulda been best friends for life.

You know they say that all men are created equal, but you look at me and you look at Samoa Joe and you can see that statement is not true. See, normally if you go one on one with another wrestler, you got a 50/50 chance of getting a tip. But I'm a genetic freak and I'm not normal! So you got a 25%, AT BEST, at getting a tip. Then you add Kurt Angle to the mix, your chances of getting tipped drastically go down. See the 3 way at this table, you got a 33 1/3 chance of getting a tip, but I, I got a 66 and 2/3 chance of tipping, because Kurt Angle KNOWS he can't out tip me and he's not even gonna try! So Samoa Joe, you take your 33 1/3 chance, minus my 25% chance and you got an 8 1/3 chance of getting a tip. But then you take my 75% chance of tipping, if we was to go one on one, and then add 66 2/3 per cents, I got 141 2/3 chance of tipping. See Joe, the numbers don't lie, and they spell disaster for you at this restaurant.

I forget if I told the story here but at Starrcast, I was in the green room and my wife and I brought our then-one year old Zach. We’re standing with Jeff and Karen Jarrett and they’re playing with Zach and he’s having fun until he isn’t. Jeff says “man, it’s a shame Scotty isn’t here. He’d have him laughing and smiling.”
Sure enough, Scott walks in, starts jaw jacking with Zach, posing at him, and then throws him up and all around.
Zach is suddenly having the absolute time of his life.
Jeff was right. Jeff explained that Scott used to have TNA pool parties and invite all the families. He’s great with kids and knows how to get them laughing.

Legit question, Scott's been an absolute asshole to plenty of the boys, but has he ever done anything heinous to anyone outside of the business?

I would have mostly left him alone, but when bringing him the check I would have made a quick joke about using Steiner Math to calculate it.

Legit question, Scott's been an absolute asshole to plenty of the boys, but has he ever done anything heinous to anyone outside of the business? I've never read stories of that. Outside of wrestling he seems pretty quiet. I know Todd (my friend Todd/OUR Todd) has met him a bunch of times and always gets him to do a free promo with him. You have guys like Bradshaw or Bob Holly who are pretty nice to fans at meet and greets or even free meets and it's a legit niceness and yet that were horrendous to rookies coming in or even experienced guys who were just starting with WWF. Some guys just have an attitude about "this business" and could be a nightmare. Buddy Lee Parker did an autograph signing circuit early this month, all smiles, nice to everyone and yet he was awful to WCW trainees and I do believe Batista story about the Power Plant. I think I'd rather read stories of these guys being dicks at autograph signings over them chopping the hell out of guys in ring (Holly), soaping them in the showers (Bradshaw), making guys barf during drills (Parker), sticking pencils up their butts (Steiner) and others who potentially could hurt jobbers just because they could.

You know, you’d think stories would be out by now…some guys are awesome, as long as they’re not at work. At work they’re monsters but once not there, they’re fine and you almost could like them, if only they weren’t such asses at work.

Sounds like typical hazing culture you'd see in all sorts of professions, I guess. You aren't trying to encroach into his territory so therefore you Scott Rechsteiner, not Big Poppa Pump in his off time.
